Sadly, but not surprisingly, a full time CLT position is NOT an option in the furlough package received by the 21 outsourced stations.

Go figure.

The garden spot of western civilization, PHL, is, however.

Maybe any interested parties can all chip in and buy billboard space near the hub airports with the slogan...."Hey hey ho ho Unkle Al has to go!!"

Seriously he should have been gone a long time ago. Bob hit the nail on the head in another thread when the Comair guy quit due to the Christmas meltdown and that was without a government declaration that the fault was at managements feet. The Phl fiasco squarely falls at Al's feet yet he lives on...go figure.

Myself and many others on this board wonder if has indecent pictures of illicit acts of someone, it has to be the only explanation how he keeps his job.

Lakefield and Bronner are clueless on running an airline.

After the PHL fiasco Crellin and Paladini should both have been fired, for the life of me I can't figure out how the CEO or the BOD condones his lack of management.

Daddy Warbucks lives on......

Paladini must be his Annie.....

Mr. Lakefield don't you get it....Al must go...

But one could transfer there as a part timer, and they would get upgraded so fast, it
would make your head spin..as for myself, I am going to take the furlough. Even thought I hate to throw 18 years away, I am going to leave there with my pride. I get tired of being lied to by corporate management (aka the spin doctors). I will miss my friends that i have made thru the years, but life will go on. I wish nothing but the best of luck for those who remain. :D

Or, as us English Lit majors used to say, "He not only knows where the body is buried, he knows who held the lantern and who dug the grave."

There was a time when Paladini was the person to take over his position but unfortunately it appears she has been "Crellinized". It's not just him that has to go. He's built a long lasting "culture" from his perch and it oozes deep into the fabric of the company. The talent to save the company use to be in the lower ranks of management. Most of those people have been beaten down so bad they've given up hope. Some have left and most, if not all, are actively looking for other employment opportunities. Surprisingly enough when a head hunter calls the local management at UAIR they can never get any headway into who might be looking as the "Crellinized" cronies tell them they don't have anybody that is interested in leaving. How funny is that??!!

This short staffing is a direct result of the company having to provide enough incentive to iAM Fleet to vote yes on the last contract. You vote yes, and we will make it worth your while to leave.

They voted yes and now there is no one to replace them.
