Just hung up from talking to one of my friends who is still there & really re enforces why I retired. He advised that CLT was very short staffed last night & will be again tonight. Lots of sick calls & oji's & mgmt. not covering. These idiot's in mgmt are more stupid than I give them credit for & that's saying alot.

I think I know the answer, but what is really bothering me is CLT getting it done short staffed ? Maybe Jimmy or cltrat can comment.

Could this be a generational thing? My guess Harry is that your friend is probably a baby boomer.. All we need to know is what needs to be done and we do it, that's how we were raised and that's what we do.. As much as you high timers have been raked over the coals, there is that pride thing stuck in the back of your minds. We have all gone above and beyond many times, which is not a bad thing, but mangmnt sees that as an expected way of getting the job done...

So long as the flights on continue to go out on time, even with serious short-comings in operations, little will change. I am hoping for a massive PHX management flush down the crAApper shortly after the merger.

I couldn't believe the Company brought back six months ago that one Little Weasel who left for his own business opportunity, and none of the FSAs respect or trust anything he says. He will not address issues and he refuses to seriously listen to problem affecting operations, just so long as the flights get out on time, that's all that matters.

And yes, it is common, especially with a large merger operation that all duplicate positions are subject to re-applying for their respective positions as the Company needs to determine who will be a victim of "synergies". Hopefully, a second time around the Company will realize that hiring bobble-headed, yes-men to be a less than ideal way to run an operation.

Yeah it's common. Happened i the US/HP merger as well. Actually, I think HP did it once or twice just because as well.

Just talked with one of my former coworkers & she's telling me that shift mgr JY is out of control. Among other things the other day he wrote up an agent for not taking his break at the right time, the reason he didn't take his break as scheduled he was the only on the belt in his section to pull & run the bags. This man is out of control.
