Fences...So how do we do it?

USA320pilot comments: I do. The vast majority of East pilots prefer to live under LOA 93 than to accept the Nicolau Award. In fact, the East pilots are now very content with LOA 93.
So if you are all so content with LOA 93, why are you on here every day arguing that the Nicolau Award should be overturned or renegotiated? If your attrition is so valuable, why risk losing some of it by renegotiating with West?

I think that we all know the answer . . .

Oh you back to beg for more than your fair share again??

Ok here is a question for you theif!! What did 18yrs get you pre merger at AAA ie, where were these people on the seniority list??? Were they senior or JR. So today that would be a 1989 hire. Where are they on the list theif where??????
Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do! If you want your f/o's at $88/hr that's cool by me, I don't have to operate under those crappy work rules on the east.

TechBoy,

The options are: Negotiate a consensual seniority list integration per the EC's resolution, which would permit JNC negotiations to actively proceed, or live under LOA 93 and prevent the Nicolau Award from proceeding.

The majority of US Airways pilots believe the best option is to obtain an acceptable solution to the Nicolau Award and if one cannot be obtained then the preferred option would be to live under LOA 93 versus having the Nicolau Award implemented.

You Don't. Unless you have a time machine and can go back a year or more  .

There is nothing wrong with a permanent fence with shared growth and shared scope protection. Why? Each pilot group keeps their career expectation and exactly what they had before the merger.

I have asked you this before and you won't answer: why did the East group not suggest that in negotiations before arbitration? And why (absent the "threat" of living under LOA 93 until you all retire) should the West group go for it now? What's the upside versus the status quo?

Why don't you just answer the question? Truth hurts doesn't it pal????

Let me ask it again just in case you forgot, Where is an 18yr pilot on your list today? That would be a 1989 hire.

I'm waiting!!!

When you get your answer clue if you get your answer ask them where an 18yr pilot sits on their list today?? A 1989 hire, I want to see if he is senior or jr on the list?

Thanks

Going back in after the fact doesn't cut it. Ever heard of accountability for ones actions?

I know you did not ask me but I will answer;

"Where is an 18yr pilot on your list today? That would be a 1989 hire."

Nostradamus answer.

On the list today provided by an arbitrator, The 18 yr pilot is below one of your recent new hires.

So what? The 18 year pilot was one step away from being furloughed, just like the new hire pilot on the west side.

As much as you guys claim how West would have eventually died without the merger, the fact is that USAirways (east) was closer to death than America West at the time. US was twice bankrupt and days away from liquidation. AW had some time left to sort things out. So the West new hire was actually further away from a furlough than the 18 year east guy. It may be a $hitty position for an 18 year employee. But it was reality.

Hence, he is now right behind the new hire from the west. Right where he belongs.

Realistically, West will not negotiate any changes unless they are given something. And no one on the East side has come up with anything to give West in return for fences. So that leaves you with LOA 93. Which you claim to be happy with. So then why all the complaining?

Right where he belongs. Your last quote. It should read,

"In my opinion, right where he belongs."

767jet - If your opinions of "that is where you belong"
continue to be the norm around the west employees then you could very easily not have a job, USAirways could burn to the ground very easily. If I were you I would negotiate, b/c your fate is in the easties hands, you just havent figured that out yet.
