Hogg said relations between ALPA safety committee and company were cordial. ALPA did not try and politicize safety.
Hogg said relations went downhill after Safety Operational Audit one year after merger. Many feedback forms contained profanity.
Company and FAA determined they were "not valid". Things got worse after USAPA changed feedback form address from USAirways to USAPA.
That's mostly why company declined to participate in Dr. Von Thaden's survey. Kubic really turned up the heat on the job action after that.
USAPA tried to make the point Hogg pushes airplanes in an usafe manner to double his salary with bonuses.
USAPA spent a good deal of time on the "fuel school" fiasco and the first USAToday ad. Hogg said it was only 6 or 7 out of 4,000 pilots.
I say he slaps a TRO on USAPA by Monday.

Maybe he was aware of this? Perhaps he realizes the same Franke Air staff is at the helm.......Why would it be temporary? Isn't today the full hearing for injunctive relief?
A name change would have gone a long way in getting people in the east to accept change and let go of the past. Along with not offering an aggresive retirment package package are the biggest merger related mistakes and missed oppertunties IMHO.
But in all seriousness, USAPA's outlook it not nearly as bad as this:Only a few bits and pieces. But even with that little has been stated, USAPA's illegal job actions seem to be headed for something like this:

America West planes will be grounded unless the airline proves within a week that it has completed maintenance on a quarter of its fleet, federal regulators said Friday.
It was the second time this year in which the nation’s ninth-largest carrier faced disciplinary action over maintenance issues. The Federal Aviation Administration threatened in January to bar the suburban Tempe-based airline from acquiring additional planes until it provided adequate maintenance for the ones it had.
This time, David Gillom of the FAA told the airline by letter that, based on an audit and review, “we have serious concerns about American West’s continuous airworthiness maintenance program.”
Dude, that was what, ten years ago. Most of the senior people that were there are gone. When the merger took place why do you think they kept Al Crellin for a year or two? Certainly not for his boyish charm and good looks. They kept him because he had an extremely good relationship with the FAA and the old America West had the stench of Bill Franke's legacy fresh in the FAA's mind. Crellin made nice, got the relationship with the FAA back on track, did his thing with the single operating certificate and was politely shown the door.
You keep pounding on Franke Air, Franke Air, Franke Air!! Well Franke Air is as dead as Paris Hilton's brain. That ship sailed when the merger took place and before. Franke Air in reality ceased to exist the day Andrew Nocella initiated the new price structure that pissed CO off to the point where they dropped HP as a code share. All of this is ancient history in terms of what's happening now.
Ok. Time to ignore Claxon.
