Excitement At The Hall

To be perfectly honest it is good to see these jerks fight each other. We can simply sit back and watch them destroy each other.
. . .and Bob you're an idiot!! Sorry to be so harsh but some of the comments you make are just plain ignorant! Like I said noone cares about your NY way of life and how things are handled up where you live. These 2 thugs who took matters into their own hands DO NOT represent the philosophy of the TWU and nothing is going to be destroyed.

I am going to take matters into my own hands and see to it (or in the least try hard) that we get the right officers voted in!! I believe this amfa thing is about wrapped up and it's time to put full focus back to the business at hand.

Haven't heard any campaign hopefuls yet on the boards. Anyone willing to give thier picks?????

Howard (mechanic) officer at large, Thompson (stock clerk) Chairman and McDonald (inspector) vice-president have been suspended from there positions with the TWU! In turn will go back to their respected area of work with AA!

AA has no involvement at this time!
The problem here is that if you take these two (Howard and Thompson) out, then they will sue the TWU.

Burchette and Rial also fought Officer against Officer at the AFL-CIO Convention and they were not removed from Office.

The TWU Constitution states that punishment must be uniformly applied.
Once the other two were not held accountable that becomes the precedent set for these actions. If you would like to donate blood, you no longer have to visit your local Red Cross center, you can now donate blood in the parking lot of TWU Local 514.

Oh well, Howard and Thompson can have the leftover TWU dues when AMFA gets certified.

I heard the only thing that saved John McDonald was the secret letters of agreement he was carrying fell from his shirt pocket and cushioned the head blow to the asphalt.

The interesting thing is the scheduled hearing will be open to the membership. This is a first for Local 514. Now, there is more politics being played with this matter than corrective action. Good Grief!

Wasn't the Rial and Burchette incident on personal time, not work time? Granted they were out of town at the convention but it was after hours was it not?

There is no precedent set Dave. You again put your own spin on things.

You are some piece of work Dave. I suppose if it wasn't going to be an open meeting then you would have something to say about that huh? You sure are transparent!!!

Do you really mean you are going to take matters in your hands? Are you indicating that you are going to commit electioneering?

When does "we" kick in?

Okay, first things first. . . . . .

e·lec·tion·eer [ i lèkshə nr ] (past e·lec·tion·eered, past participle e·lec·tion·eered, present participle e·lec·tion·eer·ing, 3rd person present singular e·lec·tion·eers)

intransitive verb

1. campaign in an election: to take an active part in an election campaign, especially as, or on behalf of, a candidate for political office

2. do something just to win votes: to attempt to win votes in an election by being insincere and unscrupulous ( disapproving

Good word Buck my boy!! This is one you must have learned supporting amfa as evidenced by the second meaning of the word!!!! It seems this definition fits them to a tee!!!!

But back to your post. . . . . . . .Well, yes, Buck, you caught me, I do plan to commit "electioneering", that is why I stated what I did on a public forum!! So, tell me Buck, what part will you play? Let me guess, sit back while everyone else does the hard work and then take credit when all the work is done?????

Unlike you Buck, I am an involved union member and will do my part to see that good, moral union members are elected. Will they win???? Well, we will find that out in June now won't we. Go ahead and copy and paste my post so that when the person that you wanted to win doesn't, you can say that I rigged the election!!! Boy won't you look important then????

When does "we" kick in?
And what pray-tell is this sarcasm suppose to mean? Are you not familiar with the word "we"???? Is it beyond your grasp??

Actually TWUer the AA rule on fighting has nothing to do with whether it is during work time or personal time the rule applies to both situations equally but it is not a hard and fast rule some get fired for fighting whether on or off duty some do not get fired for fighting, the fact is rules are never equally applied and never will be that is just life, so we will just have to see what happens in this particular incident the fact that the incident with Burchett and Rile was not taken to HR probably also played a part in nothing being done, from what I am hearing Mcdonald did go to HR and reported this incident that does not mean that anyone will get fired but it does make a difference.
For the record I would not like to see anyone get fired over this incident as the people involved have many years with AA but they should be removed from office, We must remember that this was not a mutually agreed upon fight unlike the Burchett / Rile fight this was basically a gang up on Mcdonald ambush

Not very sportsman like I would say. <_<

Oh OK,

So if they had assaulted John after hours, then we wouldn't be on the witch hunt if front of the membership?

I'm sorry, I thought you were looking for accountability for the actions not the time of day committed.

Bobby Gless told me that Burchette was asked to resign from his International position because he slept with Joe Hasens girlfriend. It seems that Joe was being a nice guy and allowed Burchette to stay with him instead of a Hotel. Burchette has a strange way of showing his appeciation.

There was something else about an insurance policy for the members.

Should it really matter whether it was personal time and how would you handle this?

Kevin Creaser voted not to suspend the three from office. And Kevin Creaser was seen intimidating one of the witnesses at the Hall today! Randy McDonald was witnessed to some of the events that took placed and is attempting to take a neutral position! Are these the individuals you want to elect? Let your voice be heard and make it clear in the upcoming local elections by removing them from office!

Maybe Kevin Creaser thought the assault took place "after hours" and no action was needed, as with the Dennis Burchette vs. Mike Rial Thriller?

How many witnesses are there? Why didn't they or he assist John? Wouldn't "becoming conduct" require them to help John from the beating?
