Thompson and Howard should be fired, and arrested. They also threatened the mans family in addition to assault. Had these two been to Hootergate or what?

Sometimes a crack in the mouth is the best way to get your point across.
Its clear, quick, effective and precise, maybe the guy deserved it.
Here in NY its not all that uncommon, but it stays here, even if its between worker and management, but to have a skirmish at the union hall be carried over to the company is despicable. Its like running to Momma.
At least those TWU members showed they are capable of fighting, which is more than could be said for many others.

It sounds to me that John Mcdonald was the one in the right here and did not deserve a crack in the mouth for telling these two officers to earn their rather generous pay by taking care of this Greivance that he asked them to take care of, they could have put their unimportant trip on hold if necessary, I hate to depend on these two officers to protect my job in an Arbitration case as it might interfere with one of their trips and we would not want that 
I say this is conduct unbecoming of an officer and they should be removed from office, Bob maybe there are times when fighting is the answer but from what I am hearing this is not one of them.

Assault is a serious violation of law, if not dealt with then more serious actions by Howard and Thompson could emerge later. It could be you that they attack next.

Well I heard the twu local 514 is coming apart at the seams, appears now it's showing in public.
Why should Jim little resign?
Because he shouldnt even be there. We should be allowed to choose our leaders. Instead we are only allowed to choose our witnesses. At this point I dont care if he does resign, I'm going for AMFA regardless.

Was it? What if we produce statements from Crew Chiefs and others who never recieved ballotts? Why were the pin numbers sequential and why were people allowed to change their votes? Are you denying that the union did not have the ability to alter votes?

Being laid off is not a death sentance, its survivable. Dont labor unions support unemployment insurance and other programs specifically for this purpose? Isnt that why we have seniority? If labor unions are willing to give away everything they fought for to minimize layoffs then why support the safety net? And what about the 7000 (your figure) that are no longer on payroll anyway, despite the concessions? The concessions we gave up will amount to working for two years for no pay.

I bet many in Tulsa, think all AMFA organizers deserve a "crack in the mouth". I bet I have even made statements that would have someone thinking I "deserve" a crack in the mouth. Of course, I think that I am justified in my actions. Does this mean I should get "cracked" in the mouth or not? Me, I bet the "crackers" in this case "deserved it" more than John McDonald.
At what point in New York does someone take his gun out and take care of the guy who "Cracked" someone in the mouth wrongfully?
My son and his friend "cracked" another kid in the mouth. That kid had braces and they were adjusted earlier that day. His teeth were left in the parking lot, he had to have oral surgery and both "crackers" were found guilty and sentenced for Aggrivated Assualt and Battery. I never taught my son this is how you handle disputes, and the day your juvenile kid is put on trial as you watch for such actions, is the day you will likely change your opinion about this. I was ashamed, not proud of my childs actions. Truth is though, the kid was asking and looking for trouble, but still did not deserve what he received.
So tell me Bob, if the victim doesn't think he "deserved" it, should he just accept this behavior and go on? Around here, either justice is served, or a more severe retaliation will likely occur soon after the act. Where does it end in NY?
You can call it running to Mommy or whatever you want. But the first time someone cracks me in the mouth, I will take whatever action is required to get even. And it would be a lot safer for me and them if the proper and legal channels were used to serve justice.

Those paid UB trips are not in short supply are they? That's gotta be a first.
Maybe the 514 could get kirky "the felon" wells back to straighten Y'all out at the 514 out? The "twu tough guy" just can't seem to get a handle on AFW.
I know..... how about gittin' Y'alls PR firm to put a call in to Dr. Phil? Yep, he could do a special show; "When Y'alls World Falls apart......Lies and Deceit can GIT YA".

Dave is correct all three have been suspended and all items belonging to the local membership must be returned pending the outcome of the investigation. These three did not even attend to defend their actions. Although John discussed the issue with several officers earlier in the day.
John McDonald has verbally announced his resignation. I also understand Thompson and Howard kicked John in his bad leg and punched him in the heart. Which John just spent time in the hospital for. These two deserve what ever they get!!!!! It was worse than what I thought.
I commend the Executive Board for the swift action! Unfortunately One officer voted against the suspension!
