End Of Your Career Soon.

MWM,

I will expect my royalty check in the mail!

Also more information should be out this morning, the IAM has several recourses it can take.

1. Ask the full nine judges to hear the case.
2. Go back to the District court for a TRO until the arbitration decision is rendered.
3. Go the Supreme Court
4. Go straight to expedited arbitration.

etops,

I am not going to waste my energy on you. This is my last repsonse to your pathetic opinions.

My advice to you is to get out there to the flight attendants and tell them your position on how you need your jobed saved. Let them know that you have done absolutely nothing to prepare for the worst and that you are willing, ready and able to lower the bar to as low as managment wants it just so your asset can sit on a jumpseat. Hopefully you can convince them, more than you have done me, to save your butt.

Short of membership being balloted to even open contracts, its not just going to happen for you, at all cost. Hope you get my meaning.
i am not even gonna waist my breath with you . i am going to slpeep. which is what you should do . be prepared for the next few weeks pit . cause i got a surprise waiting for all of you negative posters. what hapened today isn't the half of it. :)

Bring it on etops1..we can all be looking for another job..yet you will be dealing with the stigma of being a major player in a failed operation....we will be victims collecting un-employment benefits...and remarketing our skills to those whom might actually appreciate us.

Contrary to people like you...I do not see U as the end all solution to employment...I was looking for a job when I started with U....and frankly I've not been impressed enough to not keep my options open to other things that are available to me.

You just keep pumping out your FUD...and it will be you whom gets left holding the flaming bag of excrement in the end.

Threaten me on the internet if you want?..I'll bet you wouldn't pull that crud face to face off company property !! You'd be needing DIP Funding for a trip to the dentist with the sorry insurance you've saddled us with.

Ill jump in and say I have got your meaning! Afa will allow its members to vote. I assure you it will be a positive vote in favor to contribute to save this airline. Short of PIT most employees see this for what it is and for the most part dont see this as an employees vs management fight. This is a fight to survive agaisnt other airlines who started out the right way and continue to take away our bread and butter. The sooner we make this fight against the real enemy, the sooner we will win!

Exactly what is it in my thinking that is wrong? Lifting the injunction the company now has the right to contract out 10 heavy checks. There will be no job losses associated with these 10 airplanes.
There already HAS been layoffs with this occurring. People who were hopeful of being called back from layoff now have no hope at all. I just thought I would give you another way to look at the situation. What about the people already gone?

The IAM should not try to obliterate the employment of others for the sake of the outsourcing issue. The time is now to augment US Airways’ franchise. I am entrusting my faith with Dave to pilot the company to prosperous times.

Pitbull, the majority within the AFA group understands what is needed to survive. They should send a strong message to their labor leaders that they want to work with the company. Remember, the general membership dictates the actions of its leaders and not the other way around.

It is vital that each labor group becomes more efficient. Working together as a cohesive team is the most logical choice. I believe that this airline has the potential to become the best in the industry. We have a group of dedicated and hard working employees that continue to raise the bar of excellence.

USfliboi,

The only entity taking your "bread and butter" is management, and with your blessings.

It appears that before long the company could be laying off thousands of employees in maintenance related departments. This would include managers, clerks, supervisors, planners, utility, stores, engineering, purchasing, mechanics, etc...

With this work not being done in house what will you do?

--Will you go down without a fight?

--The courts ruling could effect other groups contracts as well.
Since you chose to start an entire me thread to spread your FUD, let me reply to you here too.

in the short term, it won't. There are no reductions in the number of mtc tracks planned. The company only contracted to do the first 10 airbuses. This gives the company and the IAM time to hammer out a deal, get the necessary tooling, parts and training. It is still my feeling that this work does belong in house. It is time for the 2 parties to sit down, hammer out a deal and stop parkign airplanes.

The AB work was NEW. We still have the exsisting Boeing work and the lesser checks on the AB. There should be NO reductions in the immediate future.
i understand LUV and Jetblue farm out heavy maintenance. Seems as if they have had no problems so far. whay can't U follow?
What other LCC'S farm out heavy maintenance?
