And I am sure that your touting the massive loss of jobs is in their best interest too. The FACTS are that there will be no short term job losses. If/When the Boeing equipment starts to park or be replaced, the that will reduce the mtc needs of the airline. In that time, it is my hopes that the Union and the Company will come to a mutually agreed upon plan that takes into consideration the needs of the employees with the needs of the company. Plain and simple.

Your claims that "the company could be laying off thousands of employees in maintenance related departments. This would include managers, clerks, supervisors, planners, utility, stores, engineering, purchasing, mechanics, etc..." is unfounded until the entire issue is resolved.

If you don't think there will be layoffs from this outsourcing short or long term, you are piping something.

You keep saying no layoffs now or in the short term...what's your version/timeline on short term? And what do you know what CCY has planned. They told AFA there was no further reduction in staffing. The arbitrator didn't see it that way.

Stop giving false hopes as if you are doing something noble here. Its not your job we are talking about. You can keep your cubicle! Its safe for now.....

usfliboi, when you signed up for the job you knew you'd be in the union. IMHO, people like you are the ultimate bottom feeders. Reap the benefits of the union's hard work, but complain about unions.

When the work is gone the workers go to. One should consider it foolish to believe otherwise. The outsourcing of aircraft is NOT about saving jobs. You are doing a disservice to fine employees by saying or implying that their jobs are safe.

"For now" being the most important part of that post.

If you think you've seen outsource fever before, you "unprotected", employment-at-will folks better hold on to your hats, the "virtual airline" with a minimum of employees is coming.

Mark MY words, you will rue the day you took joy at seeing others lose their work, for the future is a very uncertain place.
