Of course the dumacrats don't have plan B.  Once again they know their voter base will vote on pure emotion rather than a candidate that might be better qualified, so now Hilary will be their golden egg because it is something "different" their voters are looking for and having a 1st woman president has the stigma they want.  Same way Obama won pure and simple because he was black.

Not done often and not with the same intent as far as I am concerned.  Mastering language is fair game as far as I am concerned.  He is a state representative and as such should be able to represent it with dignity and language is a part of it.
 
I agree with that and I think it was wrong.  I think referring to Palin as a MILF was wrong.  I think the insults regarding Reno's looks were wrong.  Using the "well they did it to 'x'" is a cop-out and an admission of a lost argument.  There is a trend of insulting people based on things that they may have no control over or that have absolutely no bearing on what they do for a living.

well Ms Clinton should know all about double standards. Not only is she stupid enough to conduct govt business (state dept no less) on her own server she's arrogant enough to tell those she worked for tough chit you can;t have them. To her credit though unlike Obama who lied his ass off about transparency you know right off the bat she'll con you.

Are the majority of republicans in Congress not white men?  I fail to see how describing a caucasian male and saying that they make up the overwhelming majority of republican Congress is in any way pejorative.  It is an accurate fact.  I made no mention of physical appearances, attire or anything else.  I can see how it would be embarrassing but you will have to explain how it is insulting.

You really don't get it do you?  The fact of the matter is that no one here is talking about men with 'cankles'.  They are talking about a woman.  No one ever called Weiner and equivalent of a whore yet that term is used for women all the time.  The number of insults leveled against Reno about her looks was disturbing yet where were are the insults about all the men in Congress.  Sure, as Eolesen pointed out people make light of Obamas ears every now and then but they are not the same.
 
Just look a the words for the insults them self.  There is no male equivalent for a MILF, whore, *****, p&^^y, c&^t ... those care meaning far beyond the words them self.  
 
If you want to hate Clinton for Obama, have at it.  There is plenty to disagree with.  The racism and the sexism starts when the hate become personal by talking about physical attributes that are completely unrelated to the job and comments that are level at women but not at men.
