It sounds like your USAPA union decides how a payout is divided. The East pilots should be given the money to offset the wage disparity over the last few years. The East pilots helped the west get a pension and profit sharing. The west fought against parity.

What an Fing lie! "Joe and Pete" SAID NOTHING. It's a NAC presentation and all the reps said was please sign in.

You have been totally busted.

What!?! I asked that same question and they said nothing a out any three way. They wouldn't even speculate on the lists at all. I think your full of it FA.

fatherabraham, you are totally outed and exposed for the liar that you are.

Wait a minute. Vague answers with regard to SLI? But I thought you guys have been spewing that Nic is dead, it's going to be a 3 way, etc. etc. etc. If that is the case, why would they be vague at all? They would just come right out and say it. Could it be because being vague is the only way to keep the impending temper tantrum at bay?

Looks like your slam dunk, DOH, 3 way, MB arbitration scenario is not to assured after all.
Not to the SLI you are putting words in my mouth.

No we didn't. Now quit being a polarizing fool.

Steal money from the West....what a novel idea....never saw that one coming. Too bad your union already said it would be shared equally among all eligable members. Give away Gary strikes again!!! LOL!

LIAR

WCF,

Joe & Pete said that a 3 way list is agreed upon start of negotiations & failure leads to M/B with a 3 way list.

FA

Really? Agreed upon by ?

Actually, I don't really care where negotiations start, only where they end.

Bottom line is they will end with either the Nic used for LCC pilots, or a result that is no different than had the Nic been used.

If you say so.

You can't fix a scared, spineless and weak group like this, were are like little mice running around the floor hoping for a little crumb that comes our way, well it's here and everyone is so joyful for the little tidbit we received, makes me sick. When you walk the terminal and see your peers just bow your head in shame.
Then do us all a favor and leave. You're not wanted or needed. You don't matter.

Ah!...Another "bulletproof-nothing-could-possibly-ever-happen-to-me-'cause-I'm-just-TOO good and TOO special!" AWA "Ace" speaks! :) Several of the greatest fighter Aces in American history died in flying mishaps, as did the first man in space (who was also, doubtless selected for his duties with far less credentials than AWA always demanded)...Gerhard Barkhorn of the Luftwaffe, with a "mere" 301 kills, lost his life in just a wintertime auto accident, but no matter = Afer all...you're AWA! ;)...NEVER could anything EVER go wrong with ME!...I'm REALLY something extra-AWA-special! Sigh!....Good luck with that infantile philosophy.

Your and Metro/Move2clt/etc's type are a constant source of head-shaking, unbelievable amazement...and wry amusement at your incredible innocence. I wish you all the best of luck aloft....You'll need it (and who knows?...may have only existed to date based largely on it) especially while burdened with that kind of mindless arrogance.

Always pay attention up there. KLM's top check airman died in the worst commercial aviation accident in history. Sigh! I'll just leave this all with a fictional character's observation, one with far more wisdom than you two "real" umm.."pilots" exhibit = "Life is like a box of chocolates...You never know what you're gonna' get" ;)

GROW UP! If not for your own sakes, for your passengers.

Gee. Now that you're sober and out of the looney bin you post nothing but "fighter aces" references. Get over yourself.

Agreed, as something that should be obvious to all. "On another note, a few have asked about the other parts of the MOU and how they relate to better working conditions and pay for all pilots involved. I would like to see this discussion evolve into discussing those terms of this MOU..." = Much more pertinent thoughts at this juncture.

On that note, and in all seriousness, I thought the usapa breakdown of the MOU with comparisons to east and west contracts was a good read. Well done.

Fellow Pilots,

The recall attempt is underway by diehard ALPA supporters - those who brought you the never-ending LOA 93 debacle, the termination of your pensions, and who would have given away your seniority long ago if allowed. They are all members of Chip Munn’s Forum, and will undoubtedly be assaulting you with a litany of “evils” we have committed as examples justifying our recall. Please recognize it is all a smokescreen with the intent to confuse the issue(s). The recall has one catalyst and one alone: The August 21st 10-0-1 vote by the BPR to recommend the membership “disapprove” the first MOU.

We had been hounded via emails from this group for weeks leading up to the BPR vote, with their demands – and accompanying insults – that we vote “yes” on just anything that the company sent our NAC’s way. When the 10-0-1 vote was communicated to all pilots, Chip’s group was outraged and along with their demands to “change our recommendation”, they threatened us with a recall campaign. It’s as simple as that. Keep in mind that although we voted unanimously to recommend you “disapprove” the MOU, we still voted to send it to you for a ratification vote, allowing the pilots the final decision.

These pilots stand firmly on their long tradition of making poor decisions based on fear and uncertainty. Approaching the BPR’s vote, they had worked themselves into a frenzy, convinced that if the BPR showed any fortitude and common sense, all would be lost and we would be forever left behind. They told us that:
  • The merger “train” would leave the station without us.
  • We would not have a “seat at the table” during joint contract negotiations.
  • There was nothing else we could possibly gain in negotiations.
  • We had no real leverage.
History since the August 21st vote shows that they were wrong…about everything. Not only did we not get left behind, but substantial improvements to the MOU were made in the areas of pay parity date and language, block hour protections, e190 pay (at pay parity review date), and securing a seat at the bargaining table. We will also essentially have a contract the day the plan of reorganization is approved assuming the MOU is ratified. In addition, and perhaps most importantly to our pilots, as a result of just a bit of fortitude by your CLT Representatives and 2 PHL Representatives, we were able to secure a “retrospective” payment for our pilots that could equate to as much as an additional $20,000 lump sum payment for an Airbus narrow-body Captain on top of the $40 million cash payout previously committed to by the Company estimated to be valued a $9500/pilot.

The pilots behind the recall were wrong…dead wrong. Had we been influenced by their intimidations, we would have missed securing several significant improvements for our pilots. Frankly, we are more than a little surprised that they continued with their recall attempt considering just how off the mark they were. But that’s democracy we suppose.

We do want to give credit where credit is due. We are aware that the members of Chip’s group are circulating the notion that they were influential in shaping the outcome of negotiations. We agree; they certainly did influence the outcome, and the damage they’ve done is incalculable. By their actions they helped assure that a tremendous amount of cash, including retroactive pay and considerable protections were not captured for our pilots. That’s the unfortunate truth.

Going forward we still have a very significant issue to navigate – seniority. If you would like solid advocacy at the Board level protecting your seniority, we ask you to please log on to
https://www.BallotPoint.com/USAPA/ and vote against the recall of all three of your Domicile Representatives.

And finally, the Secretary-Treasurer is prohibiting us from using the USAPA communications system to defend ourselves and we must pay for each letter, including this one. The cost will be considerable. If you would like to join us in this battle to protect your careers, please consider making a financial contribution through
www.PayPal.com Click on the “Transfer” tab at the top of the home page and then click on “send someone money” in the drop down window. From there, the instructions are straight forward. You will be asked for the receiving email address which is [email protected] We would be very grateful for your support.

Sincerely,

Bill McKee, Steve Crimi, and DeWitt Ingram
