Congratulations NO voters - We have been RECESSED!

The MECs have been summoned to Washington by the NMB. I suspect they will be encouraged to go to Proffer. My hope is that they will take it, get it done to get their members positioned and protected, and move on with the rest of the company into the merger.

I do not see the NMB scheduling any more mediation, we have simply run out of time.

EastUS1, I never said I was the sharpest tool. I wish you all the best and sincerely hope we all get to the promised land together.

No Worries. I didn't drop in to feed/stroke my ego. I'd suggest some caution whenever evaluating the notions of any that do.

My same good wishes back atcha' for all the FA group. It's been my many years experience that the FA's are largely a great bunch of people and a privilege to work with. I hope everything goes as best as possible in the future for all concerned.

I find it interesting that certain posters try to shoot the messenger when unions and Demagogues hurt their members.

We have union "leaders" and their message board pundits that only want to look backwards and see their perceived "injustices" of the past. They can't see the light between the trees because their anger obscures the future. This makes them a martyr and a leader of the "crusader of the victims" cause, but that gets nobody anywhere. When a person keeps looking backwards or refuses to become informed they do not see the freight train that is speeding towards them right in front of them, and then, they get blindsided. What do they do next? Blame others for their precieved injustice.

People need to stop looking backwards and stop listening to the Demagogues. People need to look forward and start demanding others do too.

That freight train you speak of is always in front of the employees, for the past decade, and it will continue, merger or no merger.
Poor leadership reins. And until that leadership in management changes, you guys will always be behind the 8 ball.

"get it done to get their members positioned and protected, and move the rest of the company into the merger", you say....

Don't get to secure in thinking you get to keep your position up there in the palace. Mergers always create a "downsizing" in management personnel, especially redundant positions.

When there is more competition for the position; education counts, and sometimes, you have to reapply for the position you have to even be considered as a contender..

Happy trails.

I've not the slightest argument there, which is why none of us "Almighty Pilot" types need busy ourselves telling the FA's what they should think or do here. As you're evidently at something of a disadvantage where reading comprehension is concerned; you may have missed that clearly stated notion earlier...."Nuff said fool". :) I'll cheerfully support the FA group with whatever they choose to do...firstly; by ceasing the clogging up of the thread here. ;)

East,

Kat is no f/a.

Not knowing, with any certainty, the person's status myself; I'll gladly go with your better notions than mine there PB. I just didn't see the need for yet another "mighty pilot" to tie up this thread any more than we have already, especially with personal issues which I consider internal to the FA group's processing. I know many who certainly wish you were still on campus and directly involved, btw. That you clearly still care as you do serves as proper testament to your character. "Fightin' the good fight" ain't just a day job, it's a way of life.

You also called me "Ms. Politeness" in a previous post. I didn't think you were aware of my good manners. I always waited until you had left my office to clean the spittle off of my glasses.

OK...that was fun.

Your outsized ego reveals your terrible prejudices. Because you think that you are still a mover and shaker in the AFA underworld you assume that anyone who pushes back against your outdated diatribes must be one also, athough on the wrong side of course.

Although it may rob you of any reamaining reason, many flight attendants do not revere the cliches of their union forebearers.

JFK said it well: Your age is not our age. As every past generation has had to disenthrall itself from an inheritance of truisms and stereotypes, so in this time we must move on from reassuring repetition of stale phrases to a new, difficult, but essential confrontation with reality.

Once again, I respect your accomplishents from when you were here, and am sorry that you find no contentment in them. But flight attendants at US can no longer afford the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought for the benefit of all the members.

Well said Sandy Eggo,

Once again we have been berated by Pitbull. Oh, the indignity. Pitbull I don't have a thing to prove to you other than to say that I am a 28 year (rounded up to 30 year) f/a hired in 1984 by Thomas Kephardt. Based in Pit, Clt and PHL. I watched you do your magic back in the day and was very proud of you. Now, not so much, as you have shown yourself to be a big boned smelly footed woman with an axe to grind. Get over yourself.

You were with the company for less time than I have been here. I still love my job and want to see the US f/as do better. You, however, do not want that as we can all tell by your constant drum beat of tirades against everything US. So why don't you go pound sand with the likes of Ron Buthcle and every other former US employee that left with some kind of under handed fist full of dollars. Hank and Jeannie would not be proud of the way you have conducted yourself A-hole.

Be Carefull is silent, he was proven wrong about the recess! LOL. He seems to be such a joy to work with I am sure...

Go to afa.org if you have not received the latest e-line ...... If you do not get your e lines, please contact a mobilizer in your base.

So glad the Lecp of CLT was not asked to meet with the NM. What an embarrassment to the position and to all of us. She helped tank this last TA, even after endorsing it. Half of her office has left do to her ineptness and hysterics. Her minions are STILL spreading mis information and lies. Her members are suffering , what a shame.

That is correct everyone should be required to go to afa.org and listen to what we are being told. Not to do so equates to wallowing in the mire of miscommunication and lies. Afa.org is the only credible information we have. And if they are lying to the membership then they deserve to get the boot just like ALPA did so long ago.
