Anyone figure out today in court who XXXXX was? RR
ORDER (doc 235)

USAPA, however, still has not provided any clear connection between the claims
in this suit and “evidence or argument concerning the formation, operation and activities of

Leonidas, LLC.” (Doc. 209 at 1). Therefore, the motion regarding Leonidas, LLC will be
granted. If USAPA believes the evidence regarding Leonidas, LLC is absolutely crucial, it
must be prepared to formulate the precise relevance of that evidence.

Is Silver doing her best to keep XXXXX off the stand...

AMR has a record profit....$530 Million.. over 1/2 a BILLION.. in ONE quarter...and this is before AMR even gets rid of scope at two airlines via a merger, capitalizes on all the reduced competition, exploits the synergies, and (most impact) replaces old mainline planes with shiny new Embraer Regional employees.

How much does the DOJ want? Just write the check already... Ya gotta do something to reduce those obscene profits if you want to make your bankruptcy look legit.

P.S. When you guys pick your jaw up off the floor, read the message that DUI sent me... "Don't get any stupid ideas about getting profit sharing back now that you already gave it up."

AMR reported a record Q3 profit of $530 million...

on Thursday, AMR reported a record Q3 profit of $530 million excluding special items. AMR's profitability is likely to improve still further going forward, as the company continues replacing its dated MD-80,
757, and 767 aircraft with more efficient planes.http://www.fool.com/...rd-profits.aspx

Embraer Expects Flood Of Large Regional Jet Orders From U.S. Carriers:

Expected changes to AMR Corp.’s scope clause provision with its American Airlines pilots should result in large orders from U.S. carriers, says Paulo Caesar Silva, Embraer’s president for Commercial Aviation. There is “huge opportunity that we see now in the U.S. market,” Silva says, adding, “We estimate that in the next few years there will be 400-500 aircraft that will have to be acquired..... http://twu514.org/ro...m-u-s-carriers/

Silver's ruling on the exclusion of LEO particulars was spot on legally, though I would love to see some of those "facts" presented in court. Other than Ken Holmes being a LEO principal, and recommending all vote for the MOU, LEO really had no part in the MOU, thus no part in this witch hunt. The case is dependent on Marty proving a DFR, proving a DFR as to one single point. As I said a while back, it’s a game of Clue. Look at the parties to the MOU. One or more of them actually wrote the seniority language, the party(s) I refer to as XXXXX. Wish I had a transcript so see if I am going down the right path. Guess we will see soon. RR

1/2B. Peanuts. Look at what Delta reported today. Stunning. And by the way, we STILL have profit sharing! RR

Whose going to fly them? All those would-be pilots crowding the local FBO to take lessons?

Or, maybe they will be computer-flown and -monitored, with no need for a human pilot?

Here's a researcher's survey for anyone who wishes to put their $0.02 in on pilotless airliners:

Not only who will fly them but what the heck are these management teams thinking by demanding concessionary contracts?

Have you seem them? F/O pay rates capped at 4th year longevity pay never to go any higher.

$28,000 top pay for a decade awaiting a chance to upgrade - better start cruising the local YMCA for applicants.

Shame to say the people responsible will be long gone when the chickens come home to roost with labor footing the bill.

Don't worry. Management has union agreement to allow them to buy all those planes and pay such low wages... but there is nothing to worry about because they will never use those provisions.. There is no way they could ever actually exploit those provision and even if they could, they believe in doing the right thing!
