Arbitration

Really? That's so funny. You say, "the company is required by law to bargain in good faith" Our company for the first 4 years did not nego. in good faith, as your co. is doing the exact same thing (by the book) at AA. We ended up filing a suit against our co. for not nego. in good faith, What will your asso. do at AA for them not nego. in good faith?? Absolutely nothing is my guess...
The twu/iam are the best company unions ever they let the company do anything they want. It’s they can do that brother are we will get them next time been hearing the twu say that for 38 years . I’ve done what I can voted no when we got to vote. Signed my AMFA. Cards and I signed a AMP card. The mechanics at AA need to wake up . You guys and gals at southwest have done what’s best for yall kicking the teamsters out especially after giving southwest every thing they wanted and went to AMFA then y’all showed southwest your not going to play games . And not going to work 6 years with no raise.

FWIW, here's the last few dates for DL:

July 2016

April 2017

October 2018

yes, it was fuzzy...but it was ua that led the way to $30/hr for fleet/ramp. dl was next up the totem pole (july 2016) and then the world's largest airline in august of 2016, jumped them all...only for us to get out-jumped by dl oct. 2018 and ua dec 2018.

I do not agree with the Dal or UAL +3%. I would only agree to the original statement from Parker AND hold him to it at Dal or UAL +7% on the wages. This is what I was referring to about the amount statement I made.

fair enough, i don't think anyone would argue against more money.

for fleet, 7% more than delta on DOS would take us to around $33.20/hr - $35.50/hr for c/c.

to me, 3% more than dl on DOS is unacceptable, too little.

I would have to agree with you but surely the iam wouldn't have sent him. Because the iam would send someone that has enough knowledge to know that we are going into mediation with a mediator not into arbitration with a arbitrator.

I too wouldn't think the IAM would have sent him. They would also send someone with knowledge about the no vote for the asso. he was trying to defend and knew nothing about. But then again, look how many have been sent packing in the past that were here for one thing and one thing only.
As you pointed out. You can't go from reg. nego's straight to arbitration without attempting mediation. I don't think the NMB would allow that, they would want to send in mediators first to try and work it out and come to an agreement prior to heading straight into binding arbitration especially with all the items still open.

I can only hope you guys are successful in your drive to rid the mechanics of this asso.
You are right about the change in representation with us and as a matter of fact, one of the reasons we are taking so long this time is because AMFA will not just lay down and agree to everything the company wants like the teamsters did here before and behind closed door deals made in hotel rooms after leaving the nego table in the very same hotel.
Any idea how the drive is going? If you guys are wanting to keep how it is going I would understand wholeheartedly after the fiasco with the teamsters getting involved last time to keep AMFA out.

yes there keeping the numbers quiet because of the teamsters

The TWU is not capable of negotiating what UPS has for AA AMT'S. Unfortunately you will find guys that will sign a card for them and not AMP.

1AA, please, if you will, allow me to pre-empt the response from the pro-TWU ilks here.
You post will be answered with something along these lines......"Well, if you guys want to have a total of a 1000 or so mechanics with everything outsourced, 1000's of AA mechanics laid off, then you can have a UPS contract."

You know, a response similar to this.
