What is that in your mouth? Oh, it's your foot, for a second there you had me worried!

I never said " West side thriving" ....I said LCC thriving. And thanks for pointing out that since the merger usapa has scabbed West jobs at LCC which was exactly my point.

west is flying 24 percent of the East routes, has furloughed pilots, no hiring until 2014 at the earliest. What jobs are you talking about? You have what you brought to the merger.

America West was hiring prior to US Airways being HQ in Tempe. We had no furloughs at that time, Spring 2005. Captain upgrades were 5-6 years. Now, I have to explain to pilots I recommended, now furloughed why their "lottery ticket" is a pink slip thanks to the acquisition.

Tell them the truth. america west was going under. They were the first airline to beg for a 400 million dollar ATSB loan. Look at you in PHX, furloughs and stagnant for 7 years. You had nothing to begin with.

The truth will set you free, T-Bone.

What happened? Fuel went from 50 to 90 bucks a barrel. That's what happened. The low-cost model didn't work at 90 bucks. So, you have LAS closed up due to low yields there. PHX yields not much better, but LCC needs a cheap connecting hub in the west to sort out pax - never mind if it makes money or not, it is needed to support the rest of the airline.
What happens when the LAX hub takes the place of PHX? I think you all know the answer to that one.

Not at all. The fact is that End-of-usapa tried to equate safety with seniority and the uscaba seniority theft scheme. He is so full of crap it is ridiculous.

Personal qualifications are what get you hired. Getting hired at a growing company gains you more seniority quicker (therefore a sooner captain position) than getting hired at a stagnant company, and way more than hanging around a downsizing company whose furloughing is outpacing it's attrition at a 4:1 ratio.
A nineteen year old can do your job.

Also a nineteen year old will work for cheaper than you. You're over qualified and over paid.

Why impose if you have such a righteous case?

As you're feebly attempting to do with the nic, you must mean? :) Your point's taken though. Any truly "righteous cause" should be evident to all concerned....without even the need to print up any assinine T-shirts asserting such. ;)

You west kids and your fantasized "righteousness" have never failed to provide hearty chuckles. My all-time-favorite's the self styled, westie-would-be-war-hero, "Nicelandingcaptain" that "saved hundreds of troops on the ground"...well, prior to being outed as a pathetic liar who's never so much as even seen any combat theater of ops, who produced something along the lines of "an inexorable glacier of righteousness". Add in some "knights" who've supposedly "fought with valor in many battles"...and you simply can't miss why you're laughed at. Who could possibly do otherwise than laugh at you? :)

Seriously, little "spartans"...Please do keep the good jokes coming. Everyone sometimes needs some "righteously" good humor. :)

The fact is your airline was on the verge of Ch7. America West was hiring. That's a fact, Jack.

I'm not Tony but I share a common interest in Harley Davidson Motorcycles.

I have an answer. CLT, PHL, DCA. There should be plenty of openings after the DOH problem is solved.

Sigh!....That much is a shared affliction, since truly good sense would dictate going Japanese...but..well..."If it ain't fittin'...It aint fittin' ". :) Any thoughts on the Victory bikes? I've been considering a new toy...and they're at least, also American products...which though, shouldn't require occasional flashbacks to oil leaks and drip-pans under the engine/etc.

I had a Honda CR125 years ago. Back in the day when Marty Smith was tearing up the competition with his CR.

Sushi at RA is about as Japanese I go these days

Understood and agreed with here. Last time I "went Jap" was when the dinosaurs roamed, and the only "superbikes" available were the Kawi Z1 and Honda 750....and...well...the "Hardly-Ablesons" for many, many years left much to be desired on all fronts, at least until the whole factory/production/etc was re-done.

Oops! Almost forgot!: Nyaah! Nyaah! You're just an opportunistic, greedy-westie and I'm but an evil-eastie without any "integrity". ;) Sigh! What a truly sad mess all this has been, and continues to be. Oh well...It'll end eventually. Ain't no-way/no-how it's fittin' to ever put a newhire ahead of another with 17 years worked...so...here we are.
