Does anyone one this board ever consider that management probably reads this more than even the membership? I, for one, believe that it would be in the best interest to not drop the playbook into the hands of management and let them run with it. The NC will determine as a group which way to go in June and I think that we should support that. Also, I have said before.....get a hold of your AGCs and ask them direct questions regarding what concerns you. CB has been more than forthcoming and I think that we need to focus on USAirways not HA, UA, or the other airlines that have not been able to get, what some individuals believe, is a good contract. The NC has a hard time ahead and I believe that we need to be UNIFIED in order to be successful.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I can assure you your company is reading this board. That's why you have let say 1,000 postings and 5,000 views. I know for a fact SWA's nego team reads these boards, matter fact they have a whole dept that does nothing but research hits concerning SWA. Use the board to your advantage, get united and hold your ground. It can and will work if you allow it to.

agree there we need to be unified now and to get what we can now none of the substandard crap that we have been with since 2000s.... we need improvments now

Yup Charlie... that's That exactly what I meant… Cargo and several others did not glean what I was attempting to convey.... muss be tha southern dialect!
Roa,
Being born and raised in the north, with my last 13 years in the south, I'm still on a learning curve on tha sothern dialect Brother. My apologies, again, for the misinterpretation. Yainz need to speak a little more clearly. LOL.

Accepted Bro!

Cargo... you n' me ain't far apart on this stuff. I say... let's forget th' politics n' finger pointin' 'n Git-R-Done!
I don't understand how my posts can be viewed as finger pointing. If you are interpreting them as such it must be a disconnect with northern dialect. LOL. With all due respect... politics n' finger pointin' is not what I'm about. Just hoping we learn from past mistakes. I agree we're not far apart on our opinions regarding this stuff. Let's Git-R Done Yainz!

I hear yahh Cargo… the finger pointin’ comment wasn’t really meant for you! I just get so tired of the same ol’ political garbage that certain posters spew! The time for politics is not now; we will have to save that for the next elections. In the meantime, we need to support our N/C and more importantly-- The N/C needs to support us!

Charlie Brown has been more than forthcoming by soliciting our opinions on these matters. I think he deserves a lot of credit for that level of transparency, and willingness to listen! I cannot recall this form of social media communication directly to members from leaders at anytime in my career!

youre right roa cb has been above and beyond in getting our opinions regardless whthr its bad or good and i think that is good but i should have added why not have the union negogation team go to all the us mainline stations and get more opinions i think it would do good or at least let people submit to the union ideas and all

Good Idea-- Interaction with the Membership in this manner is something that should be considered.
Actually, in light of the coalition… perhaps both the IAM and the TWU should embark on a campaign to educate the Membership face to face!

You're 100% correct. This is not the time for politics. What it is time for is solidarity. Solidarity that starts with support of the NC. I agree completely that Charlie Brown and P. Rez deserve a lot of credit. They are attempting to keep the membership as informed as possible while soliciting input at the same time. Commendable work to this point. I too, have not witnessed this level of direct communication with the members from past NCs. I'm encouraged by their actions and hope the feedback they get is communicated to the district leadership. IMO... in order to effectively negotiate for the members; one must be aware of the members' common interests.

I have been reading these post from my Union Brothers and Sisters who communicate with each other on this forum either in code or directly . I'm either laughing, pondering ,or swearing at some of my Brothers and Sisters who post on the AF. The bottom line is WE are at STATUS QUO . Nothing is going to change until WE reach MERGER and SINGLE CARRIER status. SOLIDARITY ! VOTE YES ! for ASSOCIATION . IAMATWU.

I received confirmation of the vote today. We will be voting for the Union ( Alliance ) or No union. This will be the only choice. Also voting for No union will result in decertification of both unions IAM and TWU. The vote will be handled by the NMB.

How an that be? 700 didn't say so... Instead he tried to belittle people asking if they could read and comprehend, and asked if they could fix a plane then how could they not understand? Maybe all of those years of dumping lavs, the sh!t went to his head

A question CB. Is that vote pertaing to all work groups or is the vote in separate work groups?.. in otherwards is the mechanic work group votes lumped together and seperate from fleet?

cb do you have any idea as to when that would take place.... lets say the govt gives the green light for us/aa aug 31 what kind of time frame would we be looking at and how long would the process take and how would it be done.... internet or phone

I can see the company campaigning, ( on the US side anyway and not the TWU side because of the MOU ), that voting no would be of benefit to Fleet.. Nothing could be further from the truth. Been there done that.....
