So really the only thing customer experience wise that makes it Express is that it says it on the plane and there is no liquor.

NO LIQUOR!!! What's up with That ??????

As far as the Express Flights.... On the way here to BNA I Flew Our Favorite....

MESA.... The Flight Attendant just said she would start her beverage Service So I simply asked if she had Wine on the Cart... She Did... I was HAPPY !!! Hey, I had been sitting in airports since 1:00pm and our flight was Delayed so by now it was 8:00.... I deserved that WINE !!!!!!!!!!

Does anybody know if they are/will be selling In Flight Cafe on the appropriate stage length and timed flights, eg PHL-MCI and PIT-MCO?

Well I made it on the EMB170 today !!!! What can I say..... It was Great !!!!

Definately Reminded me of the Airbus..... The leather Seats were Very Comfortable I wouldn't say they are as Big as our 1st Class Seats...But Very Close... There was Good Leg room.... As a matter of fact I had more leg room on that a/c than the 757 I flew on from PIT~PHL......Almost forgot MY ROLLABOARD FIT IN THE OVERHEAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They Don't serve Liquor but they do serve Beer and Wine.... AND YES they will be doing Inflight Cafe ..... One of my friends is with them and was Sitting OPR which I on an Off Chance called her and she Escorted me down to the MidAtlantic Crew Room.... It's Very LITTLE !!!! They gave MAA the BROOMCLOSET (at least that's the best description I can come up with)....

I even took a look at next months Trip Sheets.... They do have some descent Trips.... They have fairly long overnights in ATL,SYR(Lets all go to Dinosaur BBQ)
and MCI from what I could see...

Flight was slightly delayed leaving BNA Scd for 10:06am Push back was at 10:25

And of course there where the Concerned Passengers....DING... "Am I going to make my Connection?".... People, 30 Minute connection times are Legal But Honestly YOU ARE PUSHING IT !!!!!

As far as the Rumor of 100 in May class..... Probably the Only Information I was NOT able to find out.....

Hope that helps.... I will be on and off here tonight so Feel Free to as me Questions

Colby,

Like ktflyhome, I found it interesting too!

Where is the MAA crew room located?

So they sit OPR just like mainline f/as?

Any idea how many reserves they have as compared to line holders?

I'm glad you got a chance to ride in the new plane...I can't wait to do it myself!
(I knew it would be nice!!!!)

Air Conditioned......

Yes they sit OPR But, what I was told was they only have to do it 2 times a Month.... Hey, at least they won't be called everyother day with it !!!

They have 3 F/As sitting OPR and they have (Like Mainline) Morning and Afternoon OPR.... Only Bad News.... You have to do it for 8 Hours !!!! :(

As far as Lineholders VS Reserves....My Friend who is About 1/2 way down the Seniority list held a Line for April !!! It was kind of funny.... Scheduling kept calling our house in Phl leaving messages.... "This is MidAtlantic Crew Scheduling calling for........ Just wanted to see if you had a WISH LIST for April".... How About THAT !!! ;)

The crewroom is down near the Smoking Room in PIT !!!!

Colby: The Reserves on Mainline can ONLY be assigned 2 OPR days per month now. You have to keep on your toes though and write things down or else Scheduling will try to mess with you. They tried it with me last week and I almost fell for it.

Also, I ran into 2 PSA F/A's in the crewroom. They sit on "Hot Call", 10 hours with absolutely NO PAY whatsoever!!!! That would suck. :(

Colby,

Thanks for the info!

I can't imagine having mainline scheduling ask me for a wish list...I would probably fall off of my chair.
And having OPR twice a month is bearable as compared to getting assigned it all the time...(remember that?)
I'm glad your friend has a line-she must be happy about that!

Thanks again for the reply! Please pass along any info you may get as you seem to be one of the few who know anything at all about it. Have a great day! :)

I see A LOT of people have been looking at this.... For those of you NOT Familiar.... OPR stands for ON PREMISE RESERVE.... In other words the F/A has to stay at the airport(Usually in the crewroom)For their 8 hours Mainline it was (If I remember correctly) Only 3 hours ;)

Airconditioned.... When I get my film develped I will try and Post the Pictures
Where ever Jaded is.... YEP I TOOK PICTURES OF IT TOO !!!!!!!

One more thing... when the 170 was taxiing to the gate at BNA I thought it was a 300... I actually had to get up and look for the Winglets !!!!!!!!!!!!

Do PSA F/As use the mainline crew room now?

I can just picture all of those OPRs sitting arond chatting about contracts and such... its about time mainline and express, and the mainline airline with express pay (MAA) all meet and see how they are all being abused... maybe it will result in some unity and working together for the benefit of ALL in the future.

Colby, Mainline OPR is 4hours (3+30) pay, unless you are called out to do a trip, then you may get 1+15 if lucky). That depends on how the schedulars manipulate it.

Light Years, I know that PSA has moved into mainline crew room. With mailboxes and even they have their own Liguor Drop Off box.

I just know a couple of weeks ago, a couple were down stairs on "Hot Call". I would not want their job for anything. It would not be worth it for me. There is no way I would sit around for 10 hours and not be paid a thing. That is absurd and high way robbery. Hell, I think I would rather put a "Red light" on my front porch, at least I would get paid for prostituting myself. What would be the difference!!!! ;)

And just think, when they do work they make $14 an hour and per diem a little above a dollar.

I met three new hire PSA flight attendants in Philly the other day while non-revving. They had just graduated and were so excited. Really nice, but dont think they'll last long once they get out there and see just how much work and how little pay it really is. They were about my age (younger). I told them I'm furloughed... they didnt know what that meant! One of them asked me when mainline would be hiring again.
