1) Hopeless village idiots.
2) Living entirely in some strange Fantasyland with insane notions that human nature has magically changed.
3) Willfully and completely ignorant of all human history.
4) Actually want to see all personal Freedom and individual Rights vanish.
5) Two or more of the above.
6) All of the above.

Well KC, I rely on stats from reliable sources like the FBI and DHS, you rely of stats from the Huffingtonpost.
Speaking of fire power, while all of you are arguing over what shouldn't be an issue at all........DHS is contracted for 1.5 Billion rounds of ammunition over the next five years. I believe they used around 5.5 Million rounds a year in the Iraq war.......that's enough ammo to wage a 24 year war....against who?? The US populace? Why is DHS arming themselves to the teeth and to what end?
What about the armored vehicles the Pentagon 'mistakenly' ordered that DHS took for street use?
Yeah, we need an assault weapons ban right now.
And you would have had no argument from me whatsoever about that KC, but nothing in the past requires us to continue down this suicidally sick path of surrendering Rights to ANY megalomaniacal sociopaths in DC, whatever their supposed flavor-of-this-second is.
"....and he or she may kick that door wide open" is no longer anything to joke about:
"guns drawn with instructions to disarm anyone inside"...Not for doing ANYTHING at ALL illegal, ZERO probable cause for even legal interest, much less concern, and inside the supposed sanctity of their own homes. While looters and other, actual criminals ran amok...these disgusting thugs were too busy mauling a poor grandmother. Does anyone with enough intelligence to even walk upright truly wish to see this kind of BS happen on a national scale?

I feel the number one job of the president is to uphold the constitution, not stomp on it.
However in your above statement the fact that the best you can come up with is "It's Bush's fault" tells me you are hopeless. He did stuff I do not agree with...but I did not go running around saying it was all Clintons fault.......especially when he was into his second term!!!
I saw some old footage the other night from about 65 years ago. A group of people who had just been given a very disturbing tour through a facility. They were all saying "It's not our fault, we did not know, we were all lied to." None of the camera crews bought the excuse for a second.

I thought he was supposed to govern and not campaign for 8 years.
Are you even suggesting that those disgusting thugs might have been a bit more reluctant to invade innocent people's homes if, instead of meeting the likes of an unfortunate, elderly lady, armed only with a pistol, they faced the possiblity of serious oposition? Hey!...I've got an idea! Let's gin up a bunch of propoganda and create a "need" to take way any weapons that would make that even possible! Not to worry; we've already got millions of these pathetic sheep eating out of our hands. All we need to do is keep pushing! After all...once we have their weapons; WTF are they going to do about opposing..well...ANYthing at all that we want to do?

Wrong. I'm not saying it's Bush's fault...I'm saying its YOUR fault. When the Patriot Act trampled at least 3 of the amendments, spineless liberals who know nothing about guns pointed out that the constitution...this document that has suddenly become sacred... was being trampled. And we were told by folks like you...."If you haven't done anything wrong, you don't have to worry" There wasn't this "sanctity of the constitution" argument coming from the right. In fact, many on the right called us terrorist supporting spineless liberals. Hate to say I told you so, but I told you so. The entire constitution should have been sacred...not just 27 words in the second amendment.

So to use your argument you are saying the current constitutional assault is YOUR fault, as in the liberals. Glad you cleared that up for us. And here I was blaming Obama and Congress.

Ninety eight voted the Pat Act in the first time, probably some 49 spineless liberals. I didn't see any hand wringing from Obama either....so whats your point?

Yep...those liberals truly WERE spineless. Gotta remember the times...'yer fer us or agin us' and the every popular 'you support the terrorists'. Of course followed up with the "if you haven't done anything wrong, you don't have anything to worry about". All kinds of stuff EXCEPT....anything to do with the sanctity of the Constitution. And those of us who tried to warn you of what you were opening the door to? Why we just hated America.
