WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama has signed a secret order authorizing covert U.S. government support for rebel forces seeking to oust Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, government officials told Reuters on Wednesday.

Obama signed the order, known as a presidential "finding", within the last two or three weeks, according to four U.S. government sources familiar with the matter.
Such findings are a principal form of presidential directive used to authorize secret operations by the Central Intelligence Agency. The CIA and the White House declined immediate comment.

I do, but that was JFK, who was indeed a Democrat, but certainly a man that no current "liberal" would now support in any way, much less vote into office. President Kennedy was also a firm believer in the Second Amendment.

I'd figured as much signals, since I was doing the same little bit of intended irony, not for your "benefit" but for some others around here, some of whom seem to have precious little memory of, or any evident references to any portion of political or other aspects of American history. As in: What core beliefs this Nation was truly founded on, etc.

No argument here. My suggested example of even a Troop of Girl Scouts selling cookies would likely be completely beyond his capabilities.
