Another School Massacre

Let me see here, you pitched a biitch about it wasn't a good idea just like your boy, now you are crying for it and blame it on the GOP who thought it should be done?

LOL, bunch a hypocrites.Must suddenly be politically expedient.

cant call you a hypocrite, Dell. You are pretty consistent in your brilliance.

I'm not crying for it because I don't think it will stop a school massacre from a kid coming in the BACK door of the school and killing his way towards the front of the school before he's taken out by the armed sharpshooter.

They propose something that will conservatively add almost $5 billion a year in spending. Then the REPUBLICANS...the party of the NRA....will #### and moan about spending. That's on them my friend.

We don't live in a perfect world.....you must make reasonable efforts to protect schools....you can't counter every eventuality. Paying for school protection isn't a federal problem.
I'm sure the teachers are willing to man up and take some concessions to protect our little children.

Right ! I'm sure , if the school has been secured, they're going to leave the "Back Door" unlocked !
How liberal of you !

Shootings are random and statistically unlikely. People are looking to secure over 100,000 swchools due to the fact that there have been 3 or 4 shootings over a period of several years. This makes absolutely no sense. Might as well invest a few billion to prevent people from getting hit by lightening while we are at it.

So then all this hoopla over 20 kids getting killed is a waste of time and the real issue is gun confiscation?

Yes to the waste of time and yes (for some) to the latter. Banning anything will not work and I really do not know why people continue to do it unless they know it will not work and are just doing it to placate the masses. There are many better ways to regulate the sale and distribution of weapons that would be far more effective without any infringement on the 2nd.

No one is going to do anything and a few people will die every year. I am just glad I do not have kids and I hope it's not me or someone I know.

In Waco Texas 20 children were murdered at the hands of the BATF. I think we should disarm the BATF. The heavy hand of Government running amok and killing US Citizens is a far far more dangerous event then the murder of 20 children at the hands of a mentally impaired individual.

So when you sat in Church yesterday did you wonder if YOUR Church was BATF approved? The precedent is there! Or are the charred remains of those who died in Waco somehow worth less then those in rich, white wonder bread suburban CT?

I seem to recall reading somewhere that Colombine had an armed guard, and I believe the shooters did not use the front doors. When I was in high school, the locker room doors leading to the outdoor fields were usually not locked. Doors from the student parking areas at many schools are around back.

So then all this hoopla over 20 kids getting killed is a waste of time and the real issue is gun confiscation?

Not gun confiscation...just one TYPE of gun... the type of gun whose sole purpose in existing is to kill as many as possible in as short a time as possible. Keep your handgun....keep your rifles. Keep your shotguns.

I do not believe that banning any gun is going to solve anything. The only thing that will make a dent in it is to regulate the sales and resale of hand guns. Then the weapons need to be secured while not in use. Bans don't work. Look at how well prohibition worked. It may make people feel good but I doubt it will make a difference.

you are probably right. It doesnt work with prostitution or pot either and enforcing laws already on the books is expensive.

plus, guns are constitutionally protected. Tax the hell out of them and the ammo. dont waste money creating more laws that are expensive to enforce but instead will help pay for Obamacare.

It's legal. Works with gasoline and luxury items and wont require amending the second amendment.

I believe if you check, ammo is too.

No, I understood that when I posted...Wait a minute...

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

I dont see anything here about ammo.

What exactly does the word "arms" mean? I mean, if the whole meaning of the second amendment can be changed with the removal of a comma, could it also change with the mispelling of a word? Pulled this from an online dictionary.

From Middle English armes, weapons, from Old French, pl. of arme, weapon, from Latin arma, weapons; see ar- in Indo-European roots. V., Middle English armen, from Old French armer, from Latin armre, from arma.

Armor, armery, armaments, armed, arms?
