The same.  The fell to save the liberty.  Liberty is more important than life.
 
Why would it end?  We would actually have to make an effort for anything to change.  Thirty thousand deaths a year is an acceptable loss for most.  Most of the deaths do not even make the news.

Life is being given more credit than its worth. After all, I'm guessing you are pro-abortion...not that there is anything wrong with it...but you don't consider it murder. On the other hand you are concerned about LIFE and want to rid people of guns because they take human life.

So basically LIFE is given an importance depending on what you consider LIFE to be.

We are animals and living organisms. Now I would think that especially the godless would know that like animals our meaning in life is to survive. Death can wait at every corner and nobody knows when their time is up.

So the true meaning of life is that it will eventually meet death.

AND LIKE I SAID BEFORE-Yes guns outnumber all other weapons for murder. But watch in the coming years as the others-especially knives-starts to climb.

They should also tally how many times people were wounded and which instrument was used...being wounded doesn't make the crime less of a crime.
 
Interesting spin but false equivalents. I'm not in favor of abortion. I hate the idea. I am strongly in favor of a woman's right to determine her one future. The fetus is dependent on the mother. Perhaps you are in favor of the Georgia HB - 1 from 2012 which sought to make abortion a felony punishable by death? I am also not about to tell a woman that she must have a child that is the result of rape or incest as you are.

The post uses data selectively, ignoring the significant role of handguns in gun violence. But the statistics it mentions are solid.

I noticed that both gun and knife statistics are dropping. I believe the gov is taking away the ammo to curb gun violence, but what do I know???

Interesting spin on your part, too! I agree that the woman should have the final say when it comes to abortion. I still consider it the end of life much like murder. When I said "you" perhaps I should have said people in general.

My point is that LIFE can be given 'worth' according to our ideology of who deserves to live and what our ultimate agendas are. I have no problem saying that abortion is a right, but I also have no problem saying that people should be allowed to own guns.

We should work on improving our mental health system because pills don't cure everything and most people who should be institutionalized and monitored, don't take their meds and walk among us!

Honestly, The exact same way. I buried my Dad at 13, it wouldn't be my first rodeo.
 
Guns don't kill. An amoral, often legally drugged up society causes people to pick up weapons of which guns are a percentage of the whole. The people responsible for these acts must be brought to justice. NOT a entire Society having to surrender their Liberty.because of the actions of a few
 
I bet there were more people murdered with butcher knives than pairing knives. Who cares that more people were killed with knives than with rifles? What purpose does it serve to separate out one type of gun from another other than to try and make the weak argument that knives are more dangerous than guns.

Right! Why should it matter if I own a RPG, and AR-15, A Sig Sauer 9mm semi auto pistol if I never fire any of them in anger at another human being?
