According to gov't data the following numbers represent total 2002 O&D passengers for Pittsburgh and two similar type hubs.

Pittsburgh- 5,064,640
Charlotte- 4,073,090
Cincinnati- 3,492,180
using those numbers and the other post citing a population of just over 2.0 million people that means every pittsburgher flew 2 1/2 times ? those numbers quoted i believe reperesent all traffic.

70+% of all UAIR pit traffic is through traffic. thus it can be transited thru any other hub which brings back into focus if PIT chargers 9.00 per pax and CLT 4.00 per pax...... or you could insert any other connecting hub for comparision.

since on the subject of the hub with only 10 gates firmly supported was this the grand MDA plan? 400 rjs? is there any update on that?

Since you agree I am smarter then you, let me correct your spelling too.

CLT

US O & D - 3,135,630 (60.8%)
Yield (cents) - 25.24

Well I know I spent more time on a US plane than I did at home over the last 7 years, so I guess I did a majority of that flying!! Someone has to help keep US flying in PIT!! :p

Bob, great for your g/f, but you threw the first attack, I just replied.

Sorry I don't change my opinion like you do, I call it like I see it when it comes to Siegel.

I add great value, I stick up for the oppressed, maybe you should stick to facts and things you know about instead of trying to insult and attack people who stick up for their rights.

If people laid down and played dead we would all be slaves. Ghandi, Paul Revere, George Washington, Martin Luther King, Winston Churchill and many other historical figures stood up for their beliefs and see what they accomplished.

Where did these come from, particularly the yield numbers?

Although if they are true, it looks like PHL is worst, and will only continue to trail starting promptly in May.

OK guys, take it to a PM if you want to continue the tit for tat otherwise someones going to get a time out.
Please return to the topic of the thread which is PIT being gone as a hub.
Thanks.
