It was been suspected that this was the case with negotiations and rumors abounded. Now we are hearing it straight from those that were there. If the iam can produce a industry leading contract out of that chaos just think what they could do as a pure bargaining agent. Mutton chops Samuelson cost us a 60k signing bonus by running his big mouth about (blood in the streets) to AA execs. The lawsuit was dropped but so was our 60k signing bonus! This cost amt’s at AA and legacy US air equally.
If the rumors are true about the iam making a clean sweep of all work groups it could happen. The twu had their chance to represent all groups and punted on first down. They have never wanted to be on offense.
 
This is not about which Industrial Communist organization will get the Mechanic and Related at American Airlines.
 
Can't coach it, its natural ability you have it or you dont.

National Director Letter to American Airlines AMTs re NMB Decision to Deny AMFA’s Motion to Reconsider​


Dear American Airlines Mechanics and Related Employees:

On September 29, 2021, the National Mediation Board (NMB) issued its decision on the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) Motion for Reconsideration of the NMB’s Decision on AMFA’s Appeal of the NMB Investigator’s Rulings regarding the challenges and objections made to the proposed Eligibility List of American Airlines (AA). Unfortunately, the NMB’s decision on the Motion was a less than thoughtful treatment of the issues raised by AMFA, and the NMB again rubber stamped the previous decisions by denying AMFA’s Motion for Reconsideration in its entirety.

We are terribly disappointed in the incredible disservice committed by watering down the Mechanics and Related Craft and Class by adding 1200 individuals to the eligibility list and thus denying the majority the right to the representation of their choosing. Furthermore, there is deep-rooted sense of dissatisfaction and frustration with the NMB’s refusal to provide an accounting as to why AMFA’s showing of interest of 7,228 signed authorization cards compared to the 14,402 eligible voters determined by the NMB was insufficient to authorize an election; a showing of interest of 7,201 should have been sufficient. The NMB also refused to reconsider removing deceased individuals, flight simulator engineers, and fleet service employees not performing deicing that AMFA had argued should be removed from the eligibility list.

The TWU/IAM alliance has been threatened from within their own membership and we support the membership’s right to decide who will best represent them. It is unfortunate that TWU/IAM has resorted to attacking each other rather than listening to and representing its membership and ultimately addressing the underlying problems. The ineffectiveness of the TWU/IAM alliance is precisely why we have the opportunity to offer American Airlines AMTs a better choice.

There is overwhelming support from across the American Airlines system to follow through with the unfinished business and take control of their own future and choose their own representation. AA grassroots organizers will be continuing the card drive within the next few weeks.

Although the NMB’s ruling precludes AMFA from being your exclusive collective bargaining agent at this time, there is nothing preventing you from joining AMFA as an Associate Member. Doing so will keep you engaged and informed on the issues that face our collective craft and will allow you perks such as the ability to join the first and only political action committee (PAC) solely focused on the aircraft mechanic and related. Join AMFA today and let your voice be heard. We welcome you with open arms.

weasles can read? you have read the letter from the twu and then the rebuttal from the iam? and you still stand behind them? you obviously cant fix stupid, it just cant be taught or coached you either have the natural talent or you dont. and you are extremely talented. probably top draft pick at the imbeciles ball.

Maybe since Dale, Rollie,and Gary (the three TWU local Presidents) have been called out by the IAM, they will be more active in the next AMFA card drive.

That would be wishful thinking on your part due to their oath and the constitution of the TWU, they would be considered negligent in their duties and they could be removed for cause. Gary at one point in the Past was an AMFA supporter before he drank the kool aid. You will see in the future just what the TWU does or forces them to do to combat the NEW AMFA CARD DRIVE.

Just like the TWU's goal is to keep your dues and do little to support You, These three (3) will do everything they can to keep the stipend money they are being paid for the positions held in the Locals. Hoping to get to where Peterson is with a Intl. slot. with ALL It's benefits, and Money.

We aren’t bound by the twu constitution. A decertified unions constitution is neither h ere nor there. Try recalling one of them. In the twu constitution there is or was (haven’t looked in quite some time) recall procedures of local officers. No procedure to recall anything in the ASS constitution. Maybe this is how they got by being organizers the last drive.
