AMFA Mechanics contract.08/ 2012

I have the strangest feeling that they can careless and mr . Niño I think backfilling should be done not just for inspectors because you are one but for all bid locations.

Contract proposal forms were filled out, turned in , weeded thru, and voted on many months ago. I'm not sure how to submit new ones. Anyone know?

Why the hell are we talking 3 or 4% raise a year! We do that every damn time. Why do the Dispatchers make so much more money than us? How is their job more important than ours. Time for the company to give us a nice raise and not this 3 or 4 % crap.

I agree with superman. Min 5%, but as always, because the company likes to play games, we should demand 10%.

BTW: Has anyone heard if the company has aproached our AMFA ALR's about a possible extension? I believe they have talked to someone at National level, but wondering if they have bounced it off our ALR's as of yet? Would be interesting to know if they did and what kind of responce was (or would be) givin...

Your dispatchers pay just got tied to UPS dispatch pay,,,,Time for you guys to tie your AMT pay to UPS as well.

Here's what I was told this morning. Company put on a slide show of where the industry is and where SWA is. This is always typical at opening day for the company. Nothing past across the table from either side at this time.
He did say that they were expecting a wtitten opener from the co. next meeting, hopefully. Not much for the first two days , but what do you expect? I was also told there will be an update fron the chairman on AMFA web site soon, if not already. Sorry for dry update, but what I got from him was very little got done. All I got...

You're a little late to the party aren't you amt66? That quote is from Feb. Your post belongs in the Rant and Rave thread.

Can anyone post the timeline of past CBA negotiations on here?? Historically with SWA of course. This will obviously be 350+ mechanics first CBA negotiations with SWA and AMFA and we presume that the NMB will rule on the integration prior to a tentative agreement much less a ratified agreement between AMFA and SWA. It might be a good idea to get 350+ swing voters in the loop of what we might expect and how it's gone in the past so no votes are made in the dark.
