So CNN is reporting that the mechanic who sabotage the plane had ISIS video(s) on his phone. This apparently came out in court today.
And there are those (even in this forum) that were upset because of his last name the thought of terrorism was brought up. Whether that was his intent or not, in today's world, assuming can be a safer option than being politically correct!

I will be the first to own up that I was one of them that said by his name.

Innocent until proven guilty, I dont think theres any question to the sabotage but there will be a tril anyway I would think, regarding the terrorism, doesn't the government have to bring charges and present a case and prove the allegations?

He did wire money to someone in Iraq back in July. So Im wondering if the government is gonna use that as part of the basis for trying to prove terrorism?

the same 3% more than delta and the same $3k bonus for laa...i don't see any sweeteners.

do i consider retro a sweetener? no. but, in today's day and age of capital vs. labor, i suppose i should.

if retro is given, the AMTs would get a much bigger retro check than fleet, thanks to southwest and aa's stalling tactics. that should seal the deal for maintenance.

Edit: Just heard on international news that another co-worker has reported that this mechanic told them that his brother is over there in IRAQ and IS an ISIS member.

Not only that, but, just because the Pilots got it does not automatically mean it will get offered to any other group. It would still have to be nego. I know the mechanics group was the group used, but any other group could very well also ask for it and why it will not be automatic for the mechanics or any group.
