American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

Yes I’m sure placing 24 Aircraft of the 962 operated will send the Airline into massive lost revenue shockwaves.

“So says the goofball”

American Airlines operates 962 aircraft, giving it the largest commercial airline fleet in the world. It primarily operates a mix of Airbus, Boeing, and McDonnell Douglasnarrow-body and wide-body aircraft, as well as one narrow-body type manufactured by Embraer. American is currently in the process of the largest fleet renewal in its history, with over 240 aircraft remaining on order from Airbus and Boeing. In 2013, American Airlines announced a new livery and by mid-2015 had completed repainting of all of its aircraft that were expected to remain in service beyond 2017.

Tim i never said dont ground the airplane just let the right people make the decision so whats done is done
What i dont understand is what Samuelsen thought he was doing for the union.I mean its totally out of his field .What did he accomplish???

i saw the company's memo and read something about 'measured leadership'. ok.

2 days ago i asked an agent (she's also a union steward) if the company gave passenger service agents a brief 2-3 sentence statement to make to nervous/worried/inquisitive pax at the ticket counter, the gate..a recheck area.

no, nothing.

so, for 2-3 days, the passenger service agents were left on their own to try and alleviate the anxiety of pax. no help from a company that knows what to say if a plane goes down, but, not in this case...leaving them out on a limb. some of these agents haven't passed probation.

what if an agent unwittingly said something that further alarmed a nervous pax and the pax reported them to the company? would this agent get in trouble?

where was the company to get their arms around this quickly with the flying public and have ALL agents on the same page with a few sentences to try and calm the pax?

nowhere.

disappointing. i don't know if ua and southwest agents were guided by their companies on what to say to their pax.

You will be joining me and several others who have had him on ignore lately. He has just lost it and either is off his medication or whatever. But he speaks as if he is the authority on things he knows nothing about. The ignore feature is great. I've been using it on him for a couple days. His comments are just dumb and stupid now. Used to be entertaining but he even had poor taste in songs lately. For that reason, he is ignored!

My guess is he has become addicted to the dopamine rush that comes when people respond to his content. He’s not the first, and he won’t be the last.

If the grounding is brief, then you’re probably right. If it drags on, then we’ll see. Either way, it will definitely affect AA & WN’s bottom lines.

Not for nothing, DL agents (specifically Res) were given guidance on how to handle customer concerns.

Trolling me again I see. I think I’ll start a tally of who trolls who more.

I guess you just can’t control yourself. (No question mark)

“Sara Nelson, president of the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, said: "Lives must come first always. But a brand is at stake as well. And that brand is not just Boeing. It's America. What America means in international aviation and by extension in the larger world more generally—that we set the standard for safety, competence, and honesty in governance of aviation”

You seem to be the "copy & paste" king of this site. Great Job.

Speaking about the grounding of the 737 Max on Reuter’s TV.

Great Caesar's Ghost! It's Mike Quill back from the dead!

He was a communist. Weasy please correct me.

All I know is that you guys complained for years that you had a Union that didn’t give a chit about you. You never saw Jim Little or any other past International President get out there and fight for you guys.

Now that you finally have one you’re going to make fun of him?

What does that say about you guys?

I'll tell you what it says about us guys, WeAAs. WE ARE SICK AND TIRED OF THE TWU! All this bravado means nothing! The ship has sailed.
I have said it before and you should understand this WeAAs being from NY originally yourself.
We AAers who live and work in NY are not impressed by him. I work with NOONE who thinks he will change the outcome of anything. What may work at the MTA won't work at AA.
If we were ever to arrive at the point of self help under the RLA, WE ARE FREE TO WALK....THEY ARE FREE TO REPLACE.
And I have said it before. The reason the TWU is putting up the biggest fight of their existence at AA is because THIS TIME the outsourcing affects EVERY union member and not just aircraft mx. It's all about the union dues, baby. Let's be honest here.

I'm grateful this is my last contract. I do not expect to vote on a new one by retirement day.

You ignorant, self-serving, wannabe voice of others. The TWU represents thousands of flight attendants at SWA who were forced to fly on those planes. Samuelsen, (i see you learned how to spell,) never called for a permanent ban of the MAX. He WAS and DOES look out for ALL TWU Members regardless of where they are employed. Just like your loser toothless "fighting" union cared only about its Boeing workers...who by the way, were never under scrutiny for the work they perform. Go back in to your little, insolent cave in LaGuardia....unlees you are just the Tim Nelson BOT we suspect. And if it is you PINKY...loving the bashing of you on the 513 group facebook page. More and more have figured you out...a non-member with zero support.
