UNTRUE....The R75 work in Phl as of the March schedule is 95 flights A WEEK!!!!!! Roughy 13-14 flights DAILY!!!!! With gates doing roughly 8-10 turns a day with maybe a RON and/or an ORIGINATOR This amounts to one gate....(TWO at the MAX).
To be fair.....the number of jobs that could be affected in Phl IF THE COMPANY GETS THEIR LANGUAGE WITH “ CORE WORK” and “WHEN and WHERE so DIRECTED” could quite possibly even top the 750.

That’s a pretty weak rationalization. Loss of work is loss of work.

Weren’t Continental and United also Unionized? Did you know or even care what Unions any of these Carriers had? And if you didn’t like the deal you got or took on at AA you I’m sure could have gotten into one of those other carriers or maybe even be working for SWA today.

No you’re looking back in hindsight with regrets. Your regrets are that you should have had a crystal ball to see the future and if you had that crystal ball it would have led you to try to get in at UPS or FEDEX and work in Louisville or Memphis because the only focus you would have would be where can you get paid the most.

Or do you like where you live and don’t want to live anywhere else?

“If they don’t like it they can always move”

I look back on past negotiations because I like to learn from past contract negotiations mistakes, and not repeat them.
What I hear coming from the Association hasn't deviated at all from past union updates.
It's as if there is a script our negotiators follow.
Most of us; by now could, could write the monthly contract negotiation updates. Oh boy, another solid day and a half of talks, yada yada. Catcha next month. Oh , and always - we feel your pain, and appreciate your support - dog gone it.
I would like some transparency. Negotiations history for us hasn't been good. I don't trust the company, they want the most productivity for the least amount of pay. The union, well now, I know that we hope they have our best interests in mind, but their past actions have shown quite the opposite.
If history is any indicator, we should look for a the usual chain of events to get to a TA.
It will end up that "we couldn't quite get all your pay and benefits restored, but we maintained future headcount - the company promised".
We will be reminded that we voted for it. It somehow will magically pass by 6 votes with a controversy.
Six months after the TA, the company will declare BK or Force Majeure, and poof, the promised heads are riffed.
I called it.

Will the company play hardball to get a jcba?
Remember, half of phl and dca will be gone if the company wants to force a jcba.
Tim the company is actually having us work more express flights tbis spring.Tim Samuelson doesnt sound like he went to the Winston Churchill school of orators what is his education background?

You did recognize the words he wrote in all CAPS right?

And BTW you currently own 0% of any of the work you perform.

And bad bad Delta is opening two new stations to dept 120. All DL/DCI departures along with several JBV partner departures (AF, AM, KL, VS) at the Atlanta powerhouse hub (40% larger than AA DFW) are 100% handled by mainline.

How many times has the topic of LAA handling BA come up in the past two decades?

How was your profit sharing Weez?

I just had a moment to read your last post a little more and this is what stood out to me.

Transparency? What “exactly” are you looking for that you’re not getting? Are you looking for TA’d item information before it’s an official AIP? Do you want them to write out precisely what’s being said back and forth in the room? A lot of the stuff they’re working on or dealing with now is mostly verbal until they’ve reached agreement and then they can put it to paper.

BTW I will agree with you on one thing that neither Union has done a spectacular job trying to explain concisely how Negotiations work or how they’re working now with the Mediators attached.

Now the “UNIONS” past actions? Does that mean you would prefer to be non Union?

You tell me? Of all the Major Airlines over the last 40 years. Which Airline, Work Group, or Union has been hitting consistent Home Runs through all the catastrophes?

American?
Braniff?
Continental?
Delta?
Eastern?
Northwest?
Pan Am?
Trans World?
United?
USAirways?

Flight Attendants Unions?
Mechanics Unions?
Pilots Unions?
Ramp Unions?

There’s a bunch out there. Give me the Home run King?

Recently the IAM said that last meeting with the company that the company wants to farm out all GSE jobs and facility maintenance. The mediator wants to know from the company why they are not negotiating with the union. The mediator says it seems to be a waste of time. I think they should go to a cooling off for 30 days and see what happens. I’m willing to do what I must to have a good contract. I support what the SWA guys are willing to do.

Read his post. He is speaking about PHL. Aren’t you in lga? And What he is saying is that if you think the company can get rid of jobs currently in Phl. It’s nothing compared to what they could get rid of with the language that they want in the jcba.

Tell that to the union brothers who are forced to commute while the company hires off the street in their home city

His PHL numbers seem low to me.Doesnt our current contract have the where and when language in it?I could probably go back and find it in previous contracts also.Dont get me wrong i could hold out as long as it takes actually the longer the better for me

I guess you are not aware that on both NCs there are members that are actually paid their hourly rate of pay not salaried.... and actually work in their respective class/craft.
fake news. No executive negotiator is being paid hourly like you said.
Sure on the committee but thaose are just altar boy gigs that really shouldt even have to be there.

I dont know much about samuelson. Really over his head though..He either thinks a leading industry contract is crap or he is just way over his head.
