The question still stands, when kicking the can another 3 or 5+ years wont put any additional pressure on the company, how are the working class hero guys going to get the company to increase their offer?

Since there will never be a release to a PEB, not that a peb is any better, the only choices is to vote now or lose more money and benefits by voting later.
Thats the story.

that one dude is getting to him. Hoping the weez pulls through. One thing is true, he loves punishment. Him and 700/Piedmont/GVP/Blutus are the only 2 on here that are supportive of caveman thought. The other 10 posters on here have been eating them all alive.

Below, is the "Truth Filter" results from the above statement...

You are the only 8 on here that are supportive of conman thought. The other 2 posters on here have been eating you alive...

Given all your "victories" over the years it seems that you must sleep in that white flag you are so willing to wave...And then start another raid/card drive under another fugazy acronym that will once again fail...Typical Pinky and the Brain rhetoric.

Not sure where the Association update is, but here is the membership update for 513 that discusses the progress, or the lack thereof.

http://www.twulocal513.org/docs/Membership Update 2-9-19.pdf

the assoc. wasn't kidding when they said that aa pulled all the scope. looks like the cc/lead issue is back on the table.

there have to be dozens and dozens of C/Cs who'll lose a little bit of sleep for awhile.

the 40 year guys who can't move are eyeballing manning and support or whatever the lus terms are, control and roc.

As a crew chief at one time, I was considered a "working CC". Some appreciated the help while others complained that I was cutting out overtime for someone or I was preventing someone from getting hired. Now it's nice to have my own little work area and do my own little thing...

Brothers and Sisters,

The Association Executive Committee met with the assigned mediators and a member of the National Mediation Board to gain a better understanding of the remaining open items. The robust dialogue was productive and ensured the meetings would continue throughout the week.

We were able to resolve and TA the M&R/MLS Field Trip guidelines. We addressed the Fleet Crew Chief duties as part of our Classifications and Scope discussions. That section is settled, leaving the remainder of these Articles to be resolved.

In Atlanta next week, we will continue to seek a resolution to the Fleet Service Classifications and Qualifications Articles. We will also refocus next week’s discussions in Atlanta on the open Scope items for all groups.

The Executive Negotiating Committee continues to update the full negotiating committee each step of the way and, foolishly, the Company believes that our members are willing to make Scope concessions that will pay for the pay raises and other gains in this contract. American Airlines must recognize that this membership will not fall for fool’s gold just to reach an agreement and that we have every intention of achieving the best contract in the industry.

Our membership sacrificed through bankruptcies and concessions in order for American to become the world’s largest and most successful airline. The time is now for this membership to be recognized and rewarded for those sacrifices. American Airlines must understand: if it takes a fight to get there, it is a fight they shall have.

Company Executives have spent billions on stock buybacks that enrich themselves and Wall Street. It is an insult they are not willing to spend what it takes to protect our work, health care, retirement benefits and increase our pay.

Company negotiators made it as clear as they could – they want us to concede the work we do. Their proposals and positions at the bargaining table attack every Association classification. They want to eliminate massive numbers of jobs in overhaul maintenance, increase the amount of line maintenance that can be performed by others internationally, decimate the skill and amount of facilities maintenance performed in-house, and vendor out any Fleet work they see fit. Every classification is affected by these draconian Company proposals.

While all the other benefits of our contracts are important, none is more important than the guarantee that our work will be here for us. If you are an Association member reading this message, you are part of this fight. Standing together, we shall prevail!

Future mediation dates scheduled:

  • The week of February 11- ATL
  • The week of March 18- DFW
  • The week of April 22- FLL
Fraternally,

Your Association Executive Negotiating Committee

I'm retired. I put together a great Constitution for a new union, and they have an executive board. I serve as a advisor of sorts with organizing. But the power will be with the Locals under that constitution and it will depend upon if its successful or not. They have a tough road to climb and the chances are against them. They do have access to attorneys who approved everything.

Yaaawwwwnnnnn. Same ole. The only one who didn't fight was the Association who went for the money and tossed JCBA aside. Same ole updates, "Company doesn't appreciate us", and "Company wants to contract out everything". The latter is a bold face lie. 100% bold face lie. The company proposal is even better than United scope and still recognizes all 40 stations, although smaller stations will only be grandfathered as members leave, etc. Why do you think I went to PBI now? Afterwards, such stations will be closed off. Yea,that isn't great but at least those who are home at those stations will still be able to stay.

Looks like the mechanics are also fighting off the international outsourcing as well along with cutting overhaul maint. hate to hear that guys.
Below post is for the weez and GVP. I am too lazy to retype so I will paste it for a TYS moment.
Funny, you call "so much BS crap on these boards" and "Stupid nonsensical crap" whenever you are proven wrong or something is not posted in your favor.
For that reason here is yet another post for you except, it's not BS crap, and it's not, stupid nonsensical crap. They are facts that you were trying to say I was misinformed and even lying about.
Like I said before, you need no help in making yourself look bad...

Always so much BS crap on these boards sometimes. Stupid nonsensical crap.

Hey weez, both you and GVP tried ram rodding me about the UPS info not being out there for you to be able to confirm what I was posting. You even went to the freight threads and asked the very guy that I am in contact with about the UPS contracts and he, of course, just ignored your question even though you tried to swallow for him to try to get him to answer you, he's not stupid and yes I trust him to the fullest, so hear, eat crow:-
He sent me the info after they tallied the vote count on Feb. 8th. 94% voted with 63% voted to accept the offer at UPS. 782 Yes, 461 No, 32 challenged ballots.

here's a couple more links for you to read right off the local 2727 website to read, very easily found;

i haven't worked a gate since the mid 90s, and only did so because of the crew and we had a great c/c that helped out. it helped that it was a fokker gate.

it will be interesting if the language changes and those that count on sitting in a chair all day and making $100k a year...they'll be in the need of an attitude adjustment.

i've already asked a few C/Cs: if things change where will you go? manning. bag room default. good luck.

I’m going to be civil unlike yourself.

Thank you for the second find for a IBT direct link. I did not find it a few minutes ago.

Can you find me anything anywhere earlier though that stated officially that they had agreement and weren’t going to vote on that?

IBT Local 2727 is a closed page.

They are facts that you were trying to say I was misinformed and even lying about.

I challenge you to find any comment that I made that said you were misinformed or were lying about the information you received from the one poster in the Freight threads.

I know this is hard for you to fathom but all posters on Airline Forums have the same ability as you to peruse other threads besides the ones in the Companies we actually work for.

My greatest difficulty here on Forums is that I actually argue with individuals who are clearly mentally detached. Mainly yourself, Tim Nelson, Conehead777 and a few of the angry souls who occasionally migrate down from the Water Cooler.
