You’re entitled to your beliefs I guess. Personally I’ve never heard one Baggage Handler yet say that he or she can’t wait to retire so they can take on another career as a Baggage Handler.

But hey what do I know. Maybe you old NWA warhorses are gluttons for hot Airplane bellies?
People would take an early out from.USair then go as a manager for USexpress

Could that happen? I guess sure. But first of all how many people are going to do that? And second I’m not 100% sure that would count against the IAMPF restriction?

And I guess with us that would now mean someone takes an EO with AA and they go work for ENVOY as a CSM.

Doubt many would be hired at their age and now no Managerial experience.

But again your scenario does hold some water.

How would you know? Do you even have 50 people working in your Station?

Time has already told. Too many years have passed now.

Last IAMNPF cut was circa 2014 if memory serves(?). Or was that future accuruals? But still a reduction nonetheless.

Yeah think they booted early dispite the contract ,gave them a cheesy settlement. I never understood it that or Alaska

You would rather higher a former wheelchair manager to a 30 year ramp guy to be ramp supervisor

They actually retired with a wink knowing they got the Express job

And trust me he’s very very happy about it. The Delta culture has him fully immersed now.

NWA is nothing more than a bad memory if he would be honest about it.

For PMDL Medallions NW was a bad memory. Man in 2008 NWs “modern” domestic fleet A319/320 were dumpy but the 40-year old DC-9s were something else. Plus the perpetually bitter disgruntled employees and overall ghetto experience.

NW ran a good operation with the strategically limited hand they had to play, and did some innovative things over the years (like the worlds first Joint Venture ATI with KLM circa 1992), but to DL customers NW was just like US and TWA at AA.

Why didn’t NW merge with either US and/or TWA? It would have allowed the IAM to retain membership and dues. Had NW and TW merged the IAM probably could have likely won a runoff election and then represented every workgroup except pilots. NW F/As changed representatives three times in less than five years.

How about a 25 year man from AA and becoming a deicing supervisor for a contract company chit happens all the time

Once again show me what LUS stations have closed since the 2005 Bankruptcy.

Don’t be like Tim, when was the last IAMNPF cut?

The cut only effected Fleet as maintenance was/is on Schedule B.

Do we need Paul Harvey here?

You really are becoming like Nelson and Dunn.

I guess you don’t care about credibility either, the MEMBERS voted on the bylaws, every 141 member had the opportunity to vote.

What’s with the lies and misinformation?
With the Awest merger, due to twu language, our depleted east stations (i think we were down to only 15 stations and less work in each station) got a bump with our 2008 agreement since we merged with about 20 west stations. That said, ind, mke, and a few other stations been whacked again since 2005.

The iampf is the slush fund for good wine. Cutting benefits is what it does. Its going to slip in the endangered zone in 2020 (12 more months) and be below 80% funded. Then within the next 3 years, the iam trustees been told it will be critical status. The math suggest that the trustees have 1 option, go to the US treasury and get severe cuts approved by asking for relief. Just like it did with the Iam Motor City Pension and the Local 701 pension that had to switch benefit schedules and destroy families.

There hasn’t been any LUS stations closed for the ramp since at least 2010.
i got a guy next to me from ind. He said you are full of it. He been here in ord 7 years. That makes it about 2012. Ind was one of about 6 stations. cmh, mke, and others i forget.
if not for the twu support, we were headed to maybe only having 5 or 6 total stations.

I’m willing to listen and maybe learn what you’re trying to say here Tim. But if you try and sell me bullchit I’m going to call you on it.

Now without a Contract couldn’t the Company whack those Stations any time they wanted to anyway?

Do you think you would have been better off remaining unrepresented rather than organizing and biting the hands that fed you?

“Better to live in Hell than serve in Heaven”

Tim did you miss this response to you or you don’t like the direction it’s headed in?

Ill be putting in my transfer today. Should nab a florida station before March. Its always hiring time down there in February.
Word has it that you already got PBI 3 weeks ago.....just waiting on a report date.
