weez deserves the gig though. He is the only twu guy that defends keeping his own presidents out. Swear to god weez these negotiators could steal pencils from.the blind and you would say its okay.Its like you said they signed on, i worked 6 days a week every week and made 80k thats with profit sharing and 1k bonus so no i dont pity anyone signing on to 150k a year plus meal vouchers. Obviously I expressed that I didn’t feel my last President deserved a raise and that the amount was entirely too much because he didn’t earn it. And the Membership here agreed with me.

But you have your expectations of worthy performance and I have mine.

Not really. These people come from all over the Country. And let’s be honest and think about it this way.

If I were in Negotiations and we had a week in NYC absolutely I’m going to want to break out early at least one day and go see my friends.

Now think about the guys who live in these locations.

Some go because their members want them to be there and get real time information, some go because maybe they like to travel and some go because they really believe it’s their obligation.

And when they finally reach the point where the last piece of the puzzle is put in place they are going to vote yes or no whether to bring it back to us or not.

If I were in Negotiations and we had a week in NYC absolutely I’m going to want to break out early at least one day and go see my friends.

The Mediator picks the locations Al. If those Mediators said Hawaii then they’re all off to Hawaii.

If the sides are showing cooperation and movement though I’m sure the Mediator would be open to suggestions as they’re schedule allows.

in fairness to weez, they do have to be available. At least 12 by constitution.
But Fly reported to me tonight that it may all be for not. If the union nickles and dimes next session over scope then things may be shut down as the company may have to reassess its offer in the midst of a prolonged governmental shutdown that is costing this industry millions and will be billions in 6 months.
Most short range flights may be scaled back or canceled. Layoffs to follow.
American management, according to fly, is putting in a contingency plan.
From what i heard, its not like they would purposely be blowing the union off but it wouldnt look good for the company to be giving us the offer it wanted to give, during the shutdown, when all the other unions will want the same thing.
Mediator schedules will also be affected imo if this goes past April.

In other words, this union may hose us in limbo, caught in a trap, as the window closes due to the shutdown.

my understanding is that some routes will also be delayed and some planes will have issues do to no inspectors. The tsa, inspectors and ATC are first wave of issues. The second wave of issues from other aspects that may manifest will most certainly cause layoffs. The current very cost positive offer will most certainly be critically impacted.
I tried to tell weez but he dont listen. Time to reel this TA in, union bosses been playing with too much slack.

They’re just going to ask the Company for another spot to be added to that bonus and they’re shutting it all down.
