2. I am a TWU Member in a Fleet Service Union.

4. We are both mechanics
5. The members at AA never know what happened.
6. Part of the information is in the updates available to the members.

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today signed new legislation allowing full union dues to be deducted from New York State taxes. The FY 2018 Enacted Budget creates a union dues deduction for New York taxpayers who itemize deductions at the state level equal to the amount currently disallowed at the federal level due to the 2 percent floor. The deduction is expected to save 500,000 hardworking men and women $35 million annually or about $70 per taxpayer per year.

"At a time when unions are under attack on the national level, New York is fighting even harder to preserve union jobs and uplift the middle class," Governor Cuomo said.

Well you have multiple parties that have pretty much an equal voice in who they want to negotiate and how many they want in those rooms. (Not to mention even the size of the rooms)

You have in alphabetical order, AA, IAM, NMB and TWU.

If any or all of those parties want to keep the participants down to a minimum they have the right of request. Or if one party wants to be insistent and make demands it’s quite simple for another party to just shut down or lengthen the schedules between talks.

We have 2 weeks this month, 2 weeks the next month and at least 1 week so far in March. We could always be a PITA like AMFA at SWA and be put on ice for Months at a time if that’s what you would prefer?

Sito wouldnt know who half the posters are on here and only 700 would get involved with swamp personally and know the history.

Eventually (One day) we will have JCBA’s in place and we won’t have to concern ourselves with any more of this nonsense until the next Negotiations talks begin.

I wish we could have a 10 year agreement just for that alone.

Probably like NYer once said on here. To keep people a little uncomfortable so they’ll actually concentrate on Negotiating instead of their own personal lives.

And besides the fact SFO and FLL have suitable Winter climates not to worry about Weather issues too.

Makes sense actually.

Those are strong words...Tom is a very knowledgeable and even tempered guy and if you don’t think he wants what’s best for the association you are being dishonest at worst and disingenuous at best...I’m LAA and have known Tom for a few years...I would take him on my team anytime...as a matter of fact I would take him over all the LAA negotiators...he negotiates 40+ contracts and has been doing for 25+ years and he is terrible at it?...it’s literally all he does for a living...I will be happy to come back here and eat crow if proved wrong...

I dont know the man but there was a contract where we lost seniority if furloughed How do you explain that.
