That was Secretary of State, Alexander Haig, and retired U.S. Army General. In reality, he was 4th in line of succession behind Vice-President, Speaker of the House, President Pro Tem of the Senate, and then, Secretary of State. Maybe he thought those above him were being held in handcuffs awaiting a DOL ruling?

they are. They are not offering any protections to new hires, and they want additional flexibilities. But all of us will be pressrved thru the next contract. Not saying its a great deal but its the last deal. All thats left is chest thumping.

A lot of "fuzzy" proposals left to interpretation. Not so much "chest thumping" as it is defining the details. details needed before anything is voted on.
