At any rate, he has much more than you. And even though you have little, even that can be taken away. The only difference why you dont have anything but kev has more, is because you had someone, that you are paying, agree with management to force bankruptcy terms on you for a very long time.

Deleted your first nonsense. Not worth my time Sir.

On the second paragraph, huh?

Uh didn’t you lose your Defined Benefit Pension being unrepresentated all the way back in 1992? Can you remind me again how much you will be getting monthly from the PBGC?

I have little? I have a High School education and I earn about $20,000 per year more than the average US citizen. As a matter of fact because of the payout on my Heart Attack I earned $99,000 in pay and benefits last year.

Economically would you like to compare your last 20 year career to mine? I’m not the one living in a 200 SF Studio Tim, lol. (Ever find a good spot for your laundry basket BTW)

Ouch

Yes that’s what I got weez and yes you do have to meet the 40 hours

Wow bro that’s some nice scratch. I can’t do the double shift myself cause I’m a “kook” about getting my sleep but maybe I could tough it out for an extra 4 on the second day?

We’re not going to meet or exceed everything you particularly are given because you’re granted a premium in some areas for not having those 3 Articles I mentioned.

I couldn’t even begin to try and quantify that value.

And frankly if you don’t have anything in Legal Contractual language outside a RTW State how can we “really” compare anything you currently have when it can all be taken from you tomorrow?

You can rationalize it however you want, but that wont change the fact that your CBA is lacking conparitively. Yeah, they might take things away tomorrow, but that’s all he more reason you guys should be locking all of that stuff in. Instead your NC is still fiddle-f**king around with stupid flight thresholds (17 LAA stations?! GTFOH) and hoping to maybe save the IAMNPF by roping in LAA people.
Shift differential might be nice too.

If you believe that representation is a value proposition-and I hope you agree with me that it is- then you all should not only know what we have over here, but be demanding the same/better for yourselves.

Yesterday you compared yourself to Mike Quill. Today you’re advocating the safe road. Which is it?

I don’t get why you keep making fun of living in a studio? Nothing wrong with living below your means. I’ll definitely be downsizing when my smalls go off to school. I’d much rather spend my $$$ on other stuff.

By your logic, I should be making fun of you for “only” having a condo.

Do better.

BTW rat how are you doing getting any early call or holdover OT. If I have this right in your current Contract PT gets the call for 4 hours or under first and then you get the call once they’ve been exhausted?

New agreement puts all in the mix depending on lowest hours for either 4 or under or under 4 (Meaning 3.7 or less not 100% sure?)
WeAAs,
LUS PT get any Pt OT created by a vacancy or absence and any OT that is additional shifts that are 5 hours or less.
FT gets all FT vacancies/absences and any additional shifts over 5 hours.
So you are correct when you say there was a compromise in JCBA. LUS pt would lose PT OT 4 hours or more BUT FT LUS would gain those shifts.

You mean they come first on the list if they signed up to be offered those hours after which FT Members can be called if they signed?

FT gets all FT vacancies/absences and any additional shifts over 5 hours

I assume PT who signed up will be offered the OT after the FT signups have been exhausted?

So you are correct when you say there was a compromise in JCBA. LUS pt would lose PT OT 4 hours or more BUT FT LUS would gain those shifts.

Let me get this straight. If it’s 4 hours Early Call on the nose exactly being offered. Who comes first?

And anything less than ? does that mean both FT and PT are put in the mix lowest hours called first?

No. Prior to the iam, we had a much better retirement. Up to 10% 401k, including 2% which was a match.

when we got the iam pension, it was a $47 million concession to my retirement.

You might be getting confused with our previous company pension that was frozen and enhanced with the 10% 401k to keep us from unionizing. That happened in 1991.

Kev you know full well that scope is a product of bankruptcy.

Get real in early 2013 the IAM agreed to SEVEN (7) stations after a period of time (five years?), and the negotiatiors hailed it as a great agreement and sent it out for ratification. It was thanks to Tim’s efforts that it got voted down and they went back to the table and got a few more crumbs and station protection.

What is lost on people comparing LAA station count to LUS station count is the LAA stations are significantly larger so it has protected more jobs.

The IAM has proven its willingness to facilitate contracting out work with agreements like this at UA and outfits like UGE and McGee.

I haven’t seen the TWU ‘whipsaw’ (your term) their members at WN this way.

Weez ramp agents didnt lose much of their accrued pension benefit when it went to PBGC .people who earn a lot like the pilots lost the most. From 78 to 92 Im still going to get about 1k per month

So even Kev contends the association is trying to force the IAMNPF on LAA to “save” the plan. Oh wait, it’s not like he hasn’t said this before about DL 143 at NWA in 2006:

UT--

Of all the items the company was asking for in each of the proposed concessionary agreements, the *one* thing everyone-junior, senior, 'tween- I spoke with were amenable to was the 401k match. NW would have frozen the pension anyway, so the choice was either the match, or the IAMNP plan. NO ONE wanted the IAM plan, yet it was the one thing the IAM fought hardest for. Not scope, not wages, their plan...

And just how much will retiring folks get from the IAM plan? No one can tell you! The officers in DL143 have no idea how much the multiplier will be.....
