Weez... in MIA, how many members do think are against the Association? Are you getting feedback from this?

it will be up to the company if it cost jobs after the september trigger. If the Association holds out, the twu may lose up to 5 fsc stations and lus may see 1,500 jobs in phl, dca, pit, clt, lga go away from the 175 work that is not protected. It will depend upon Parker's conscience. You are correct weez... scope loss is job loss...
Even when we are guaranteed that no jobs will be lost (initially anyway). A loss of scope is something we will NEVER regain, and it will cost JOBS,
if not immediately-- certainly at some point in the future!

If that scenario were to come to be, I for one would not accuse the ASSociation of betrayal. That’s just me. The reason being that no matter what we think is guaranteed will be lost at some point. I have learned this over the course of many decades contract after contract.
Yes we gave more than our share. But unfortunately we have to give something in order to get something. It’s not guaranteed Metal or right now there is no way I’d have a job making anywhere near what I make. It’s been exactly 40 years since Airline Deregulation and I still have a very good Union job at a Major Airline.
Personally I think you and I have lost too much “work” already in our careers and within the atmosphere that the last Carriers left find themselves in it’s just insane for me to think about giving up even more work despite what they want to pay me for it (Buying it from me)
We’re not in Bankruptcy or even close to heading towards it any more. Didn’t we already just give?

A lot of hiring was done the past several years. Midnight average is about what you said. The bottom guy at the station probably would not see my shift for at least 20 years. With all the hiring, the average age is pretty low.Metal another question?
Say ultimately the Association and you guys agreed with the deal and voted to go from 35% to 50% outsourcing with that Company guarantee of everyone keeping the job in their city.
That guy on the very bottom of the Seniority list. How long do you think it will take him to get the same shift and days off you hold now?
Do you think he now might never be able to hold it? Does the average stuck on Midnights go from 10 years to 15 years or more?
Majority.
Rumor going around in Miami is the company will shutdown Pittsburgh aircraft maintenance when the contract is signed .

Tim I hope you still keep an eye on the association and make sure they fly straight. Now with no protocol you can take a "gloves off" approach^^^This^^^
In regards to the Association, it most likely means an AIP gets presented to the members, extremely soon. Lus will lose their current medical. Im against that but, like you, im the only one on my medical so i will barely be affected. But families will now be hosed at lus soon enuf.
