American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

Someone told me that the hold up is the fact that the co. wants to go with LUS outsourcing which is 50% of maint. With LAA currently at 35% of maint. spend the 50% LUS would allow a lot more outsourcing. There are other scope issues at hand that will not be revealed until T/A day. They probably don't want the troops getting restless until T/A day. So they will just continue to keep the membership in the dark as usual.
Sign them cards and get them turned in.
The update specified a hold up with Fleet scope didnt it? Or, did I read it wrong...

The biggest issues with Fleet Scope so far has been them wanting Catering in LUS IAM cities. Catering is roughly around 350 jobs in CLT alone. And Deicing in TWU cities that were not on the list of cities the Company backed away from like DFW.

There are other Scope issues as well left unresolved that haven’t been publicly divulged.

LUS Medical is THE main holdup.
Neither will budge so as Parker explained a mediator will be brought in to try and do some shoving.

Since the Association didn’t mention anything about Medical in their last few updates can you provide any documentation or postings that confirm they are lying and Scope is not the issue of the moment?

Can you also provide any resource that states neither side will “budge” on that Medical issue?

No arguments. Just please provide tangible proof to back up your statement, please?

No on the source of budging because I already have mentioned that so go do your research. Can you provide proof that the company and the Association are both willing to negotiate the loss of LUS Medical.

W, opinions different than yours drive you crazy. We are liars, anti union, broke folks needing money, IGM etc...You do realize opinions need no proof, that's why they are opinions...

By the W, in my opinion, 350 catering jobs is very negotiable and will not send 30,000 members into long drawn out negotiations.

THE? All CAPITAL letters as an exclamation.

Where do you state that any of what you write is an opinion? You write these comments claiming authority and absolutes.

Easy I guess for you to talk when this work is NOT in or affecting the Station YOU work in.

And I edited my comment. It’s around 350 jobs in CLT alone.

The Association has already made it clear that they will NOT accept a sup par agreement just for expediency. Those “IMO” trying to force them through complaining and aggravating are swimming against the tide. “IN MY OPINION”!!!!!!!

If it fits your argument, OK...run with it. Don't you think I would post something in writing as proof just to keep you from playing these little word games you like to play. These little I out smarted you games. Your something else bro. If it is fact, I will provide that. It's ones opinion, and a strong one at that. Now, your proof they are willing to negotiate the loss of their medical. I wait while you dig up some facts.

Learned to read W, you're killing me. I said the 350 catering jobs were negotiable, not OK to lose.
Everything is negotiable self proclaimed union man, you should know that.

Who in the hell said anything about a "sub par" agreement. These games you play with words are the W spin game trying to put words in someones mouth. Too funny!

June 28 Association update:

“We understand the membership’s frustration with the time it is taking to reach this JCBA, but we will not negotiate a concessionary agreement just to complete the process“

July 18 Association update:

“Our members must let the company know that our Association will continue to remain strong and unified, and will not acquiesce to the company’s substandard demands“

(I’m sorry it was substandard THEY said, not sub-par. My mistake)

Strong and unified? As long as the iam leaders dont have to exert any effort, thay are strong and unified!
