Dont pat yourself on the back. Going 7 years for what? Look, amfa is better than this awful thing at american but you got nothing other than pay raise you refused to take for 7 years. You guys have like 2,000 mechanics and 10% of the work American has.
Save the ole "Pedro for President" hoopla
I can understand that.
They did get full retro.

Just goes to show that you don't have a clue STILL. First of all I was NOT talking to or with you. Secondly, my post you quoted has to do with the UAW contract that did come to a T/A not yours.
Wasn't patting myself on the back at all dummy. Go back in your hole and wait for all the asso. leadership to tell you what to say and when.

If the higher level Executives were in the room it was probable that it had to do with the legal issues rather than nuts and bolts.
So yeah so the unions illegal actions are screwing the members and further delaying a contract
Oh how nice it is to be a part of this freaking mess. NOT!,

Oh boy so lets go 7 years to get full retro (same raises we passed up but no interest). Heck, maybe go 9 years next time so you can let the company go 2 more years holding your money.
Look, you 2,000 mechanics at least have a voice, so I applaud amfa, but goofs like yourself should focus on your own airline cuz few here are interested in declaring victory by having pedro or Chan taking over their work.

I guess rumors are running wild this, the 17th of October...I heard this morning that everyone was told to be available for the next three weeks (up until a week prior to Thanksgiving). Said we are indeed close BUT, no deal yet...Sounds like Sito is in control.
Maybe its to go on roadshows?

Stop laughing! It could happen.

SILENCE! I KILL YOU!!

Wrong again there skippy. We did in fact get interest, we even received compounding interest with the increases. That was all figured in by the economist we hired. Not only did we receive interest and compounding increases, you see, the full retro AMFA was able to get us included making us "whole". Do you NOT know what making whole is?? Making whole includes "all funds" that were passed by including interest, compounding yearly %'s, 401K, PS, bonuses, etc.. Hell, AMFA even got every mechanic double and triple time worked at our new pay scale levels. Now you wanna start comparing dollar for dollar I will be happy to do so after you guys are done and I assure you the differences will blow yours out out the water big time there chief.
"Whatever it takes" was our motto thru-out the entire time and it worked well in the end. Yes that end took 6.5 years to attain but at least it was attained AND THEN SOME. No one is celebrating the fact that it took this long and you know this as you are once again trying so hard to try and make it look bad when AMFA, once again, did another ILC to help out the industry. Just as Delta and UPS did to also help the industry first and us. We did not top UPS's wages and we knew we would not, however, we did as planned and closed the gap even further with the reasonable increases to attain within $2 per hour of them when we use to be nearly $10 bucks behind them.
Tell ya what Timmy, when you get done with your new contract (JCBA) we will compare who was made whole over the length of waiting for said JCBA...

There is still a soft deadline coming up, which is the start of the contempt hearing. It's been pushed back from October to the beginning of November.

That was done by mutual agreement between the Association and the airline.

It's plausible the airline is hoping to get a deal without that hammer, but it is there nonetheless.

At a certain point, the airline would give a final push and then turn to the other groups, while the legal stuff goes through the courts.

geez, i stopped reading after the rant's second paragraph.
Good you got interest and maybe dollar for dollar your contract is better but only because most of your work is subsidized out cuz of ibt?) to pedro. But 9500 > 2300.
And thats the story.

It’s real simple
Have to get past 2020 vacation and medical selection to make administration easier and the loss of the extra week vacation pays for lawsuit damages. Sorry Team Members we cannot add the week next year since we have completed selection of Vacation Days for next year. Congratulations Team on gaining more Vacation you cannot take!!

Yup, vacation selections for 2020 is getting underway for all line stations. The medical will open up for selection end of October. Another year with less VC. Another year with increased medical expenses. Company bailed out on payroll deduction for union sponsored medical plans. I wish they bailed on payroll deduction for union dues.

Usually vacation accruals are for the following year anyway. In other words, we accrue in 2020 to take in 2021.

I would think the company has told the Association what it wants for the lawsuit to go away. Might be a sticking point for the unions as it will look pretty bad to the members to see they are getting hosed by the unions failure to defend itself from charges. Not so easy to finish the deal with that hanging over things. The greedy mgmt will want something for this. The question is what.
