Just out of curiosity there were 4 things left, scope, benefits, pay and retirement.
Pay and retirement should be easy. Profit sharing me too with the pilots.
Benefits me too with the pulots.
That leaves scope. What the **** have they been doing the last 4 years?
Lockers, bulletin boards and uniforms. That's a whole lot of dues flowing in while talking about these items. It's a financial strategy for the preservation of union dues. Actually who really knows since updates have been less informative at best.

Bob these numbers are pie in the sky way off.

First your wage increase is wrong. It’s only 22 cents per hour. The shift dif you don’t know the precise amount and 1st shift doesn’t receive.

Holidays ok. But that’s only if you’re scheduled and actually WORK all of them. Holidays fall on all different sort of days.

Profit sharing is an unknown and non contractual but 2% wouldn’t be a fixed number anyway.

Your 401k numbers are off cause all your BASE numbers are way too high.

Your $11,000 numbers are way too high and I think you need to take some deep breaths and redo your calculations with more reasonable numbers.
Weez,
Is Samuelson going to go to another town hall?
regards,

nothing at all. the jetnet proposal enhanced scope for fleet.

Rumor has it, Robert Isom recently sat at this negotiating table. I also starting January 2020heard that Jerry Glass was asked to step down to another office in the building. My personal feelings are the contract is very close to complete. The AA legacy medical and dental will go up 1200.00 dollars

I guess rumors are running wild this, the 17th of October...I heard this morning that everyone was told to be available for the next three weeks (up until a week prior to Thanksgiving). Said we are indeed close BUT, no deal yet...Sounds like Sito is in control.

Just in time! They can save a ton during the holidays! Limp thru the summer and offer false hope for the holidays!

So if all the rumors are true then yeah no deal for 2019 so thousands more dollars we will continue to loose while to suits do whatever it is they do.
The holidays are going to be long
Grrrrrrrrr......

If the higher level Executives were in the room it was probable that it had to do with the legal issues rather than nuts and bolts.

The Railway Labor Act is a problem. It allows the company to just drag their ass since they know being able to strike is almost non existent. That being said, the Association has been terrible for the LAA people from the get go. The LUs guys got a decent deal out of it so at least someone did. Good for them that the IAM looked out for their interests. The TWU is a different story. Hope the UAW people did well.
Read some quick highlights already but waiting on the full details if the union blesses it to come out as a T/A and the members vote on it. That vote is being done today, but don't know when they will get er done with today.

How long did you guys take?
NYer, we took right at 6.5 years. The very first raise and or money we saw in our hands was right at 7 years. Too long for anyone to endure for sure. But I will say the membership did stay very strong and held out until we were made whole for the entire 7 years that went past without raises. That finally came only after Kinder came in and got it done after GK instructed him to do so. Kinder padded it enough to get it done and only went over GK's max by 2 million.
I do feel for you guys about the timeframe and I too hope you guys will hold out to be made whole in the long run. This also why I am not so sure the first offer will fly through as ours didn't the first time. Hold them to making all whole as it should be, otherwise they will just do this every new contract. Heck, Kinder has already suggested an extension on our next go around with 2-3% increases for the cola.

Swamt. The road shows for us wld be the DFW LAX CLT JFK DCA MIA PHX. May be ATL n other mainline cities. Thats my guess
That's a lot fewer than I was thinking for AA's size. Maybe it will go fairly quick.
Good luck robbed. Hope you all have something to look over before the end of this year.

Does anyone really believe there will be any road shows explaining an A.I.P. before a vote? You will be lucky to see final contract language. What we do get will probably be bullet points, but given the benefit of the doubt that it is contract language it will be presented by our local reps that were not in the negotiation room anyway. Any questions about the contract will be deferred to the negotiating committee which will be nowhere to be found.
Let's hope so. There better be. If not, sign them cards and fire the asso. period.

Dont pat yourself on the back. Going 7 years for what? Look, amfa is better than this awful thing at american but you got nothing other than pay raise you refused to take for 7 years. You guys have like 2,000 mechanics and 10% of the work American has.
Save the ole "Pedro for President" hoopla

Having everyone be available for the next 3 weeks is not at all encouraging as to be close to being done. # more full weeks is a bit further to go than being close. I would lean towards V.O.'s suggestion as to nothing this year at this point. And BTW; if no deal is done within these next 3 weeks it will then go thru all the holidays unfinished and into next year IMO.

I'm on the same train as you, next year some time, but I would say before summer though.
