That's why they kicked out the Negotiating Committee and brought in an "Executive Committee." They can control the information.
It's the IAM style, but the TWU was more transparent. The irony is, that one of the backers of the current regime wanted change because he felt the International controlled negotiations too much, even though the Local Presidents were there. Now, there are no Local President directly involved and it's entirely the International in those rooms.
we deserve to hear a full explanation. When you talk for two weeks and when it should have been about scope wages and health care the last 10% And then you say you made progress, but not on those issues . Well progress on what! The twu works for us! Funny guys that sit up there all big AMFA supporters in the day! Now its I got mine! Screw the IAM right a long with the TWU! They are not looking out for you and I. Never worried giving about giving all are jobs to fleet. They let AA farm out all that work to Thales and Rockwell. There was a major Grievance years ago that we should get all that work and we won. But the TWU cut a deal and let AA do what they wanted so Rockwell Stayed then came Thales.

TWU has not been Transparent, they have also have been secretive in the past! We can not tell you everything because things could change!They should have a video feed so we can see exactly what they are doing. It would be a video of a empty room and a message would pop up YOUR OUT OF LINE BROTHER! every 30 sec.
Funny how I am starting to hear guys crying like babies but would not do anything to make a change.
We have been misled and lied too about representation under the association. We have individuals who refuse to make a change but are the biggest complainers on the current representational structure.
We get no real updates out of negotiations. We have individuals negotiating for groups that they do not work in. Then we have a exTWU president now a International officer who loves to make baby ranting YouTube videos. Then you have the biggest mouth of them all who only knows about aircraft from the seat he sits in while a passenger. He should stick too track laying in NYC.
Four years since the association was shoved down our throats and we are still trying to get a JCBA. You can't make this stuff up. Days are ticking away and guys are losing potential retirement money. Next year the TWU medical takes another big hit out of our pockets. Not for the IAM though. I believe the dragging out is planned out for the IAM members another year so they can enjoy their cheap medical and IAMPF contributions. The TWU guys again are at five holidays and no double time OT for 2020. The IAM leadership knows exactly what they are doing. It's all mirrors folks.

Kind of a stupid request by the NMB when the members just learn after 4 years scope wages and benefits still remain to be discussed. I can't recall the last time I learned anything from the Association.

I suspect the company and NMB had them sign a non disclosure agreement. I suspect the reason being that the court issues are a big part of the discussion.
I agree the lack of information is pretty sad considering we are the dues payers but all we can do sit back and wait.
We are all tired of waiting and I suppose all we can do is hope by the end of next week we have an agreement to vote on.
For me I’m not to optimistic that will happen but time will tell

If your iam you can be content fat dumb and happy. On the side getting hosed we are slim, tired of being dumb and pissed off

The other thing is negotiating a settlement to it legal issues and probable Contempt order.

If some of you have not seen the latest memo/email put out by the individual who is representing the IAM membership first and foremost,
let me just post one line that should be extremely telling/troubling about this farce.

In other words, those presidents who were elected and chosen to represent us (TWU) in negotiations are not even allowed to be there to do their jobs. In my opinion, this should be totally unacceptable.

This is unacceptable, but we're gonna accept it. IMO there is 0 contract negotiations going on. IMO they are "negotiating" the lawsuit.
Again, IMO, that should have nothing to do with my contract.
Agree, and it also sounds very much that he is totally in the dark, knows no more than us and that is scary.Cant give us detais fine,but you have to explain what you were doing the last two weeks. Tell you what ,what Tim said makes a sense they are making the court case their number 1 priority
