Stock price? That's the new barometer?

You realize Labor costs, as any expense, brings down stock price, right? You want a spike in the stock price, let them cut Maintenance to the levels other airlines have cut it. You're not in favor of that, I'd imagine.

We have the association dont fear im sure they are in top secret talks to keep costs down.

Labor cost are most definitely a factor in stock price but the leadership at AA seems behind their peers when it comes to customer service and passenger satisfaction.
Maybe it’s because they know by building the big hubs people have to fly us no matter what.
I think eventually the poor service is going to hurt the bottom line and the stock price

Its like a monopoly if you want to fly in certain hubs you have no choice. Thats why they really dont care about cutomer service. Or customers or employees.

Anyone know why the info has completely stopped?
The NMB mediators in our nego's did not put any gag order out but did have in place a system where they were suppose to "approve" the written updates that went out from both sides. After some time passed they stop having to approve them any more. And, we were given much much more detailed info at our monthly meetings at the union hall straight from the NC at the table.
Just curious to why it all stopped all of a sudden. Is this the asso's call or what???

All,

It is very frustrating to once again read the association update with no details. I for one believe that those who are negotiating our contract should be selected by the membership to represent them. That is how the TWU has been structured in the past.
I am thankful that it appears slight progress is being made. I’m sure everyone including myself is looking at this association and asking themselves ” are we going to rid ourselves of this mess after we get a contract?”

Grrrrrrrr

As a reminder as to what else the Association may be negotiating..."Southwest seeks acceleration of its claims for $20 million and a permanent injunction over “future” bargaining."

No Love: Southwest Airlines Refuses To Stop Fighting Its Expert Mechanics In Court Even After Contract

What he's trying to do with ALL his comments such as these, is trying to put the FAILURE of the Association to reach a CBA that is a fair and decent agreement on the membership, as if to say since we caused all of these problems especially with the alleged slow down, this is the reason you have no CBA now, and when you get a CBA it will be sub standard.

Now here he is advocating and suggesting a cut to maintenance headcount and that this is the reason the stock price is in the tank. Is this guy company plant?

As it turns out, especially on the Fleet side, the information being shared wasn't really correct. Much of it was misleading and lead to the airline requesting the actual language.

Aside from that, the other releases were of the derogatory nature, like the NMB tells Members to "Drop Dead."

Now that those remarks aren't part of the updates, it shows their in the mud working.

Let's ignore what's happening, that way we get a better deal?

If that helps you.... Go ahead.

First we dont have union halls. They took them away and sold them. Its much easier to keep us divided and seperate that way. The iam controls communication's they tell us what they want when they want. Thats what happens when your union surrenders itself as bitches.

labor costs are always the #1 expense..fuel, #2.

delta spends over $1 billion annually on profit sharing..along with it's labor costs.

aa's problem is it's tiny dividend and debt (that doesn't scare me so much). the bigger problem is that analysts study this industry and know the ins and outs, and they just don't rate parker and whatever his vision is - if he even does have a vision.

united doesn't pay a dividend, but has so few shares outstanding (relative to aa and especially delta), that investors are speculating that when united does pay a dividend, it could be in the $2.00-$2.50 range. delta pays $1.61 now and aa is at .40 cents.

which stock would you buy?
