Wish they would put him in charge, in 10 minutes he would have the contract done. Isom calls him all the time begging for his help....
10 minutes. Maybe 15.
Ill get iah and rsw, medical cap, and a further bump in pay. id scrap the $2 million that the company was going to pay twu presidents, scrap the insistence on 20 additional stations, and agree to thier retirement proposal. Maybe another 1/2%. Id be home smoking a cuban cigar before the kids come home from school.

Guaranteed. Not even joking.
You and the other dopes would still complain of course, but most would be grateful.

I thought we had some winners on our side, that idiot wins the award hands down. "You can fix stupid" is a close second. The difference is stupid is just stupid, tim actually beleives what he says.

just another of the great things we got from usair as part of this merger

Isn't it true the agreement voted down allowed the foreign maintenance language to sunset, while the agreement after the court case reintroduced and includes that language in the ratified CBA?
Yes. With some other changes that brought on the outsourcing after the first T/A. Correct LOA's 1&2 as well as all LOA's were subjects to sunset if they were not renegotiated back into the new agreement.
What took place after the first T/A was voted down was SWA loss a bid on some outsourcing bidding for vendors in the USA. United came in and way underbidded SWA for 8 lines of maint. at the USA vendors and kind of stole those slots out from under SWA. SWA was already doing 4 lines foreign outsourcing and had to quickly get more slots as the USA vendors were all full and had no more room to take SWA in, so they asked for a little more relief from the foreign outsourcing to find slots they lost out on so they asked for 4 more slots to equal the 8 lines they lost and 3 or 4 of these will sunset at end of this contract, not may, but will sunset. In order for SWA to guarantee they get those slots most of us believe is why the increased numbers came at the end also to ensure it gets voted in. GK sent the word in that this must get done and get it done now. The overpay of 14.5 million was to ensure a yes vote and they did. We were not happy with the foreign outsourcing but, when you offer that much more to get it you will get a yes majority---no brainer there, just business 101.
I will say at least AMFA was able to get some lines to sunset as well as more LOA's also renegotiated back in that has headcounts, positions, and hiring protections added for the foreign outsourcing, and also with the wording of SWA hiring more mechanics. Although we don't like the foreign outsourcing it was also worked out where we get to see the airplanes right out of foreign facilities after they are done and we will rework anything we need to to get them up to us being satisfied for RTS and some times we get a bunch of O/T when this does happen. We've worked some planes for days and weeks after coming back home. Not all, only some, and I think this was one of the reasons they pulled out of El Salv.
Article 2 scope, did not change at all in the end. They were wanting to change that big time in the first T/A and GK told them to bail out on the scope changes so we kept all scope as is.
Sorry for lengthy answer but that's how it all came about.

So the guys here laughing at Tim, so tell me what the guys in the room have done? Oh right they have not done anything .
There is no movement or any such thing, Only threats and hard talk. We know what’s out there from the company, smart changes to what union wants make sense, but instead they would rather play hardball and force us to wait even longer. Maybe even 2 more years to even have a chance at a vote, to this member that is unacceptable

Who said I voted for Trump?
I got a real cool red hat you can borrow.........

those you speak about have an oath to the union. What matters is that the union will be fined massively so it will flip like a pancake and agree with me about recommending a yes. Then weez and the others like cltrat etc all will fall in line. All good!
The only problem will be if the company keeps the massive fine separate from negotiations and collects the fine.
I wont be assessed a couple hundred a month to pay for the fine since im not a members.
The union made a strong argument that the company needs to terminate employees it feels did a slowdown and its likely a few dozen will now be terminated after a ruling imo.

Terminate guys for doing their jobs? Good luck with that, every job is different, so passing judgement on a guy for writing up something broke or missing on an aircraft would be real hard. As far as passing on some sort of fine to the membership through payroll deduction, I'm certain that would sure motivate guys to work even harder.

I thought you thought the company dont give a damn?
I dont think the company is anyone's friend. It is a business, and if it gets a Perm Injunction then i would think that it meant business and that it would have a free shot to terminate anyone not doing its job. The union would most likely side with the company and keep you fired instead of allowing the tab to go up.

Samuelson said he is bringing the Bus mentality to the airlines and he made a catacalismic mistake.

The rabbit hole has an unknown depth at this time.

Its over Johnny.
