American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

I have been trying to tell you guys for years. (oops I meant to say months, Almost told on myself.) That there is NO SUCH THING AS NEGOTIATIONS. The company puts out a amount of money they are willing to spend. The Union has to figure out how to divide it up. That is it. The company will NEVER increase that amount. We pick a bunch of Drunks to figure this out and they fight about who gets what. Now that will have IAM/TWU, We are really screwed. They have less people than we do, but they get a 50/50 vote. Why would the EVER vote to take away what they already have.

The ONLY way out of this is to get rid of both of them. But that will NEVER happen because WE are to stupid to make it happen.


Many members are "not smart enough to be stupid".

That's the old way with the TWU.
With two unions and new management negotiating tactics who really knows except they definitely want to get rid of as many of us as possible.
Thats not true with fleet. I think the company wants to get rid of mechanics. But fleet scope was expanded and they will have to hire.
 
Remember that double time and a half pay for Memorial Day ?
Don’t expect it for the 4th or any holiday soon and you can thank the association of that because future dues members and loser pension plans are more important than an JCBA

Maybe ALL association members will take less so IAM retains their medical and ramp keeps easy seasonal deicing OT.
 
So by the fact that nobody is saying that the association is fighting for all association members to have IAMs healthcare, AAs version of healthcare negotiations is what is happening. association is just fighting for IAM healthcare for just IAM members.

I wonder what consessions TWU members is being asked to give up for that by association.

When is the next negotiations scheduled for? Soon I imagine, Isom must be freaking out after Samuelsons threat.

Yes it can, with anyone but you. The sad part is you think you are smart. Everyone on this BB laughs at you. Then when you run for office. Your results show that your own people laugh at you. So maybe you should take the hint. Oh wait. You are to stupid to get it. LMFAO

Actually, as far as officer elections, i have fared better than 99% of all other non incumbant opponents. The record is phenomenal. But, at the end of the day, they have the counting and absentees that arent numbered.
I am actually pretty proud of the elections that helped force issues.
However, im done with the iam so i doubt any challenger slate could ever get remotely close to my accomplishments.
There is a reason why the GL changed voting hours. I had 65% per capita and would have won IP fairly easily, but the constitutional adjustments by the GL preserved their plan.
I get it! I exhausted it all, and for that im grateful.

WHY do you say the company will NEVER increase the amount? When you say this you really have no clue how nego's really go. Your company will increase dependant on the nego's. If you really don't know that then you are not so well informed about the process.
Do you not know that SWA increaseased from pennies to dollars in our offers? Where have you been?? Not sure I understand where your post is really coming from...

Hey, just to chime in here; I DID vote for Trump and I WILL vote for him again in 2020. Very proud of it, as he has done more than the last 3 Presidents---Period!!!

They did and I voted for Trump also, not voting for a Socialist.
