Rumor the company is asking for 52 million.
That should be enough for the association to put out a T/A for a vote and hopefully BIG MOUTH Samuelson has learned a lesson on keeping his BIG MOUTH shut when it's appropriate.

Samuelson embarrassed my profession and my fellow A&P technicians. I have been in the industry for 40 years and I have never seen someone so ignorant that they would threaten the upper management. What is this 1930’s and 1940’s. Going around and bust heads! Wake up! The union is a business also and without the members they are nothing!

Then why didn't you cut to the chase from the start? You should have said reps were using confusing verbiage regarding "when and where directed" work. That would have saved a lot of back and forth.
Your reps were saying that everything except loading and unloading could be farmed, they also implied aa would never hire another fleet or amt

"At ATL, AUS, BOS, DCA, DFW, JFK, LAS, LAX, LGA, MCO, MIA, ORD, SAT, SFO, SJU, STL, and TPA, normal and customary lavatory and water systems work as referenced in Classifications and Qualifications Article XX, Paragraph C.5 will be performed on mainline aircraft by employees covered by this Agreement."

Basically, the TWU cities keep the lav work they currently have under the TWU Scope.
Yup here at lga the lav job will probably have to double the amount of employees cause a contract company does it for the IAM side now

You forgot about the invisible Sito Pantoja. He's suppose to be part of this dysfunctional association.

Maybe Sito will threaten Isom on video too, and then post it to YouTube.

It would be perfect if he wore a light blue adidas sweatsuit and a white tank top with his hair slicked back, and of course gold necklace and watch.

Just to paint a picture.

Probably why Samuelson isn’t declaring an impasse and demanding to be released to self help. Can’t collect union dues if we are on strike.

They can declare all they want, but before that they'd have to take a strike vote which needs 2/3rd's of Members to approve.

Besides, we'd never be allowed to go on strike.

if so, then where is the mechanism to force 3% more than united? the same mechanism that forces a formerly bk company and now a financially thriving company to 'unfreeze' a frozen pension?

my point is that aa hasn't budged on fleet wages. they have modified their jetnet proposal(s), as recently as the wn AMT contract to match those wages and increase the 'bonus' by $3k, exclusively for lus assoc. members.

i would tend to agree with you and want to agree that we will get more than 3% above dl on DOS. why not put that in the recently modified jetnet proposal(s) to the assoc.??

as far as the bonus, the fact that the company's profit sharing formula for 30,000 employees won't be touched, is a concession. the bonus can also be classified as a one-time expense and won't come to $10k per employee. lots of new hires will balance the sum. i'm looking at $200 million.

$200 million from $7 billion = 1-2 quarters to replenish the $7 billion threshold.

you're letting the company off easy. if you say we don't have time for this, where do you find time for another 7 months, waiting for united to get their next raise, that so far, has no bearing on aa's wage strategy. they still cling to delta +3%.
33 plus the differential plus the extra holiday will boost us about 6 k a year so youll be making 73k rolling out of bed.Now throw in the others

Although we wouldnt go on strike I do think a strike authorization would send a msg but with the stupid court crap by company n union the question is what wld be the point of taking one now

I do not trust the Association! I have been in several unions in my 40 years. UAW, Teamsters, IAM and now the Association. I personally feel the unions did help. I just feel it was always off the sweat of the members. God bless America and the A&P technicians who work so hard for no respect

Al,
as far as ramp work, the company proposal expands scope. For the first time, it includes some "when and where" work in our scope. And it includes operations under ramp work. That is important cuz previous company stances tried to suggest it and the tower were the same.

All I know is that, as far as ramp work, we will have more under scope. Not sure what Prez is talking about with attrition???
Who is going to do the work unless the company wants to utilize overtime?

With the extra scope and a growing company, a massive amount of fleet has to be hired.
