Maybe I want the option to get back in the IAM penstion

Trust me I supported that option being offered to any and all Association Members myself.

Not saying what I would have done had I been offered the “choice” but there are people out there who seem to only want to be selective in where they get to have their choices exist.

down the hall, next building over.....its all second hand info he is being given. Thats not good enuf unless you trust sito.
For those who dont trust sito then i think its very fair to at least have a Local prez in thw room.
Something is wrong.

Either they are lying or they dont trust the members.

At any rate, you cant dispute the iam video which says iam pension for all.

regards,

Point being is if Basketts info is "secondhand"' coming straight from an actual attendee, then the info YOU try to spread is how many "hands" way down the ladder? You talk to flies. What other insects do you talk to? Cockroaches? Trapdoor spiders? Dung beetles? Maggots?

How can you make ANY assertions what so ever?
You can not make a statement about a negotiator getting secondhand info when he is just down the hall and YOU'RE NOT EVEN IN THE SAME UNIVERSE, much less state, city, street or hotel!!!
You speak only for those imaginary friends in your head!
...uncle Jerry...

So then it’s not about ultimately getting a deal for you and moving forward, it’s about having to satisfy a tit for tat with the IAM?

And no if the gains were hearty the TA’s would not be voted down handily or voted down at all as a matter of fact.

Oh there would be some griping that’s for sure. But if the IAM were coming out of that Medical over time people would shrug their shoulders and go right to the wages page.

BTW as just a reminder I still stand by my prediction of a 17% (Maybe 18%) overall cost to start with and then it rising over the next few years (See the Envoy Agents offer)

The Company is not going to want to pick up the 40% excise Tax penalty for anything over the published max.
I have no problem at all if they keep their IAM Pensions. Look Metal I REALLY (REALLY) don’t care what some other guy gets or doesn’t get next to me.

I think absolutely their Membership at least should have the right to do whatever they want with whatever they earned or fought for before the Merger was announced.

Anyway this is what they supposedly proposed according to Jetnet if anyone takes the word of Management as gospel.

Association’s Proposal

  • Applies only to IAM-represented members; TWU would not be included in the defined benefit plan the Association has proposed
  • IAM has already agreed to allow IAM members to leave the defined benefit plan if the company will pay a withdrawal liabilty fee.
So let's do it your way. IAM keeps their medical and is at what? $5-6000 advantage over the TWU?
They keep their IAM pension where the company kicks in a couple of dollars an hour towards it....TWU at an even greater disadvantage.
Seems fair to me.

WeAAz, so you really don't care what some other guys gets? Really?
Then WTF is this ASSociation for?
Here's the solution. Let the IAM settle on their own and keep what they got. And let the TWU keep what we have.
Fair enough? You know, since we shouldn't worry about what the other guy is getting.

The entire TWU Executive Negotiating Committee was here hobnobbing this weekend. I put 3 of them under the hot lights Friday and got to hard grilling them. I asked Andre, Mike and Gary if they were blowing smoke up Tim (Hughes) Juan and big Fa’s asses and I scrutinized their responses with a cocked eye. Didn’t get any sweat out of those 3 guys. They got 100% pass on the Weez lie detector examination.

Caught Alex at the 568 Picnic and gave him the once over too. Told him I’d wrestle the Bear if I had to wring it out of him.

Nope. Didn’t even get a nervous foot twitch out of old Alex.

Joe Friday himself couldn’t have grilled them any harder. They’re all clean.

I saw the offer. They are lying

The 5 to 6 Grand is an absolute total cost and it’s a pick and chose as Mark Baskett put out in his video. Again I said if that’s what it takes to get to a solution.

Nobody said anything about the retirement and either side having an advantage over the other. Besides since when do you care since I’m pretty sure you said you wanted nothing to do with the IAMPF anyway?

No I don’t care what other guys get. Didn’t care that there were topped out people over me when I hired in. Don’t care that you will probably be making between 50 to 60k more than me when this shakes out. And don’t care what kind of car my neighbors are driving as long as they aren’t leaking oil on the Property (I’m on the Condo Board)

Nah. I honestly could care less. (I got no wee little mouths to feed either)

I believe you have who was doing the hobknobbing backwards 🙂

They hobnobbed, I hobnobbed, the kids at the Picnic were hobnobbing. Nothing wrong with some good old fashioned hobnobbing especially at a Union Picnic.

I stayed away from the Balloon house and the caretaker wouldn’t let me ride the Ponies. The jerk called me a fatty. 😀

Douglas seems to "imply" in the Phoenix Town Hall that the NMB feels AA's proposal is rock solid enough that they would not release each side for a 30 day cooling off period, but instead put the negotiations on ice because of lack of movement from the Association. Again IAM, well played.

basically, the nmb will try to persuade the monkeys. I know the monkeys are lying so there wont be a vote.
And there wont be any scheduled talks. So, as members get educated, they will only have amp as a choice to be the icebreaker

For the IAM readers here in particular I just want to share an FYI. The absolute main focus that the TWU International was talking to the Membership here in MIA was Jobs. They did touch some on all the issues facing all the groups in both Fleet and Maintenance (Heavy emphasis on Facilities) but the full court press was on jobs and the language the Company wants us to accept that will do away with that work over time.

Didn’t even hear a tiny little iota of animosity towards the IAM. It was Completely focused on the Company, Doug Parker and Robert Isom.

Just a follow up, he also stated that if negotiations drag on they would look at giving the TWU some of the benefits the IAM currently enjoy such as more holidays...

But did make it clear, that is indeed the companies leverage at this time.

For the IAM to except the company insurance would cost approximately 3.65 an hour out there wages. If the TWU excepted the current IAM insurance TWU would get a 3.65 raise! Do the math. Other than that the TWU members can kiss my ass!!!!
