Ok just sayin that Forums then is a terrible place to gauge the pulse of the Membership. I don’t think there’s even a half dozen LAA Fleet people on here.

The Jetnet comments aren’t a bad gauge but you have to get passed the Bully posters who just swarm the threads with non stop babble to get the real count.
The forums are NOT a terrible place for gauging. Believe me when I tell you at least in our case these forums have helped us a great deal at the table. Rather anyone would want to admit that or not, it has been discussed, at the table about these forums during these neg's as well as during our last contract nego's and even back when we had the crooked teamsters. Don't shrug off these forums, both SWA and AA are montering them 24/7 guaranteed. There have been changes made at the table due to these forums, never underestimate them.

Tim, tim. Tim your holding out. Wheres our proposal? You are in charge you promised a contract in 30 minutes. I put you in charge and have heard nothing! What does the fly on the wall say? Come on tim its time to put out or get out.
Usually when you put someone in charge to perform a certain task, and they fail to produce or perform, they usually get fired or demoted. Maybe it's time to let Timmy go huh???

Josh for US the 2014 was a he!! of an improvement over the ch11 era crap we had n it was designed for stand a lone. But the merger took place. Time for mgmt to stop showing their ugly colors n to give us what we deserve

Robbed not everyone agrees with you:

Just read the highlights of the IAM contract. I didn't realize us air was in bankruptcy. Not even close to delta or united pay. This TWU IAM alliance has failed us already.

This is actually a post I copied from a union brother about the clt picketing. I thought it was very well put about today’s majority mind set. I wanted to post it here, just to see how many that’s still on this forums page will read it and still put it down and make fun of it. Because this is a perfect example of how we need to get back to thinking as a group in my opinion.
If you want to know how the group is thinking, then accept the company's offer and lets vote. Wouldn't that be the feed back that tells you excactly how the "Group" is thinking.

CB,

I agree with you and the Union Brother. The old saying of "united we stand, divided we beg" couldn't be more true.

Everyone needs to understand one thing the company is saying, is that you can stay in your city until they come after you in the next contract. So if anybody is thinking you will work in your city for 30 more years, you're living in fantasyland. Think about it, each contract they have a strategy of conquer and divide the membership, so how will they try to divide us next time?

P. Rez
You have no proof that will happen, just pure speculation.

Mike S. I have tried over and over on Jetnet to get the Company to release the details of exactly what they are looking for in regards to Jobs, and can’t get them to answer.

Can you help?

I guess you don’t have enough time in the Company to remember all the Stations we used to have on the LAA side?

Did you know that AA used to have Hubs in BNA and RDU.

Quick question. What are the buy-out parameters? Years and numbers?? And are they going to offer it with the contract or outside of the contract??? I think they should be separate votes, but that's just me.

To my knowledge, the company has not laid out the parameters publicly. They have said the number would be limited and only those they select (dept and location) would be awarded a buyout. The company is trying to buy those votes by having it in the contract! I agree with you. It has no business being contractual for a one time transaction. There will many pissed off folks that want it that don't get it wasting a vote

I can guarantee pretty much for a fact that they will also restrict the full amount to Members needing to be over 50 with 20 years in the Company to collect the Max.

Anyone under 40 will not be eligible.

You havent worked on property in 25 years wouldnt you be netter served starting a union drive with your own workers. You dont work here, Tim does

Unlike you though the individual that you speak of threw away his right to decide by becoming a Dues objector.

Frankly to be fair anyone who is not an American Airlines Employee or someone who won’t have a vote on any of our Contracts shouldn’t be chiming in telling us what we should or shouldn’t do.

There’s a line to offering (welcomed) advice and input or being pushy (unwelcomed) rude trolls. IMO.

Just my opinion you are never gonna see that until we reach an agreement and in my 25 years here the twu has only put out bullet points for us to vote on. The very same thing you dislike from the company.

What I dislike is anyone, company or union trying to influence people to vote one way or another. I've posted on here before I am all in on a vote for the current offer from the company, but I would never tell anyone which way to vote. That is for each individual to decide, and however that falls I will live with it as I have done for all the past contracts.
