American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

Are you nuts?? For TWU maintenance, the overhaul and mod outsourcing goes up to 50%!! I don't know what the current outsourcing cap is, but 50% and the addition of foreign stations with American Airlines employees will impact DWH and TULE in a devastating way. Since the IAM is at 50% currently, no changes there. For title 2 (GSE and building/plant maint) a lot of the stations currently staffed by AA folks possibly be backfilled by contractors as the AA folks leave the company, never to be staffed with AA employees ever.
Im speaking in terms of the fleet contract..while mtc is none of my busines there are sure a lot of you want to vote on the.company offer

Wait who do you work for AA was in bankruptcy while the couple of years leading to the merger US was having record profits.

“"The facts are that Delta, United and Southwest ... have now become so large and so financially strong that it is pure fantasy to suggest that either American and/or US Airways will be competitive as standalone airlines," Robert Herbst, an independent airline consultant and former pilot, said in a report“

Of course it’s a conflict of interest. Always has been, always will be.

Who doesn’t already know that?

Funny how PT BARNUM gets booted off the forums and THE ASSOCIATION suddenly appears here.
Oh, it goes back further than that...Remember, Fake Nelson came immediately after PT Barnum and was soon booted. The mods have there hands full with these kids...

Ford GoBike Workers in San Francisco Vote to Join TWU:
60% Said Yes

After an intensive organizing effort, Ford GoBike workers in San Francisco voted 60% for representation by the Transport Workers Union of America, AFL-CIO (TWU). Ford GoBike workers are employed by Motivate LLC.

The campaign garnered a lot of local support from community members and organizations, including the San Francisco Democratic Socialists of America, Our Bikes, the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

“The ultimate act of democracy in a workplace is joining a union. By voting to join the TWU, San Francisco’s Bikeshare Workers have greatly strengthened the economic security of families,” said TWU International President John Samuelsen.

The TWU already represents Motivate workers in New York City, Washington DC, Chicago, Boston and Jersey City, as well as bike share workers in Cleveland and Phoenix.

Ford GoBike has 4,000 bikes that can be docked at 300 stations across the San Francisco Bay Area.
