Sorry WeAAz, I know I am not allowed to revisit my past experiences when it comes to you. But I have lived through too many "THEY CAN DO THAT, BROTHERS!"
All I am saying is the union should demand the company gives us the full text proposal so we can see for ourselves the details. I want to READ EVERY DETAIL.
I would love to believe my union on every issue. I just can't right now.

Yeah, but just think of all the cool T-shirts you got!

Is there a proposal? What proposal? I haven't seen a proposal. Where is the proposal? Have you seen a proposal? Do we have a proposal?
Then the ASSociation needs to DEMAND that the company give us a full text proposal for review by the membership. Tell the mediators and call the company's bluff by not just publishing highlights!

I DO NOT want you to believe your Union on every issue. That’s called blind following and that’s not a very wise thing to do either.

I would like to see some of you guys show them at least some support particularly when you see them standing up for you.

When it comes to trying to raise a spotlight on Aircraft Maintenance Outsourcing you can’t tell me anyone else is doing more than the TWU?

And how do they “Demand” the Company to do that? Do they just use the word “Demand” in one of their updates to appease people who want them to use a word just for the sake of using it?

How do they “Force” the Company to put out that fine print publicly?

Nice! In NY the PA usually permits us near the pet relief area.

CLT only allows 10 people protesting at the Terminals.

The sad part about these Nationwide protests is if you don’t know the restrictions it just looks like in some places it was a bust.

Amazing frankly what they can do in DFW of all places. MIA doesn’t restrict too much either.

And also notice every single reference is titled "IAM" protest, not IAM and TWU or the asso. protest, just IAM by the weezal himself. The division, the infighting, and the internal chaos will never end with this two party union set up, it will hinder you guys from getting contracts for the rest of you careers. The company is just loving this divisional asso. from the international level all the way down to the members themselves. The TWU and IAM have actually created "The Perfect Storm" within this employee asso. and the company is laughing all the way to the bank with it for years...

Dude, you really don't have a clue what you are talking about. You really should go to a thread where someone might actually value your asinine input. This thread just isn't your cup of tea!

Samuelsen can beat the "outsourcing" war drum all he wants however well intended and admirable it is. As long as the government allows it. Can't stop the practice. As far as Brazil goes, well they are AA employees. And don't forget, we had 777 heavy mx done in HKG, it is now done in the states by the same outsourcing firm. We have much work outsourced in the states so we can't say OFFSHORED. So US citizens are working our aircraft right here in the good old U S of A!
And until we see planes dropping out of the sky directly attributed to outsourced work, outsourcing will continue.
And I don't just mean loose seats and overhead bins.

Now, as far as negotiations go, here are the scenarios:
Agree to arbitration and most like the company gets what they want...............................or.............................
Exhaust the process and be allowed to strike where the company then imposes its workrules and replaces workers.............or.............................
The government gets involved and the company most likely gets what it wants.................

Metal you’ve said in the past that you gave up and aren’t fighting anymore. But I think you also said you were fine with us who still want and are going to.

If you don’t want to fight anymore that’s fine and you’re right. But can you please stop fighting against those of us who still will.

Its hard to reach an agreement when your union still hasn't even discussed any issues or reach any agreements between themselves. They are negotiating with each other and the company all at once. It is a cluster.....

BTW for you die hard union guys you realize unions have never, ever saved one job (accept the incompetents of course) but they have lost tens of millions. Every single one of you would be much better off and much more satisfied with your careers if this industry was never unionized. And you could seek your own career path with out the corrosive force of mandated seniority and BS propaganda.
I disagree. If we had no union i can only imy what even a worse cluster f..k itd be . It may be like that now but w no union itd be far worse.

I'm thinking mover gets it, and it is high time all of you read this more than one, just how many of those poison arrows do we have in our collective quiver? I will tell you, ZERO. Thanks Mover, it's about time someone wrote that. What to do next you ask?? Adapt and stockpile for retirement.

Never said I didn't want to fight anymore. I just think it is useless. If the company were to change their positions, they would have done so by now. And the use of mediators is futile at best.
In the end, corporations usually get the last laugh where labor is concerned.
