America West pilots to brethren at US Airways: Be thankful

"What??? Weren't we growing here in the west?? Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought we were hiring and taking delivery of new airbusses."

Be it resolved..The management of AWA was/is the finest ever spawned on earth. At no time nor place within the entire history of human commerce has such genius been bound together to produce such astounding results.

Yup..you guys were on a fast track to becoming the world's largest airline.

Mr. Petersen won't ever be welcome on my aircraft!!!!!!!!!

Mr Peterson is a friend of mine and a Check Airman.

Go ahead and deny him a jumpseat.

I'm sure he'll wecome you in his simulator.

Why don't you print your real name.

Things are tough enough for all of us right now. Please, lets leave the talk of welcoming each other in simulators out of it. Nothing good can come out of such talk. Actually that goes for jumpseats as well. While I still have one, anyone, even USA320 pilot is welcome on mine.

There are plenty of other potshots available to sling back and forth without having to bring jumpseats and simulator rides into it.

Maybe I misread the information, I meant to indicate that the East was going backwards.

" Captain Eric Peterson, a 49-year-old America West pilot, has this to say to the Post-Gazette about pilots coming from the old US Airways: "They need to lose their misplaced sense of entitlement."

.....I sure hope he has an UNLISTED phone number!

ONLY stating opinions.

EASTUS -- EXCELLENT POST, KEEP EM COMING.

Fuly concur on those points. All AWA guys/gals will be shown reasonable hospitality on my jump seat...without being verbally held hostage to the curent mess we've got. Some things are wholly inappropriate to engage in...and the cockpit's the LAST place for such "fighting" in any case. We've all sufficient distractions...we must keep sanity up there at least on a professional level.

The issue of whether USAirwas was about to liquidate in 2005 comes up often. I have the definitive answer and the proof is contained therein. The answer is: maybe. As it so happens, this is also the answer as to whether TWA was about to liquidate in January, 2001. Case closed.

One would think that any of us would know the prohibition against speaking to the press. After all it is located within the Flight Operations Manual.

A check airman should know better. Pity.

He didn't appear to be speaking about company matters, but rather union matters. I think that makes a difference.
