Aircraft maint issues

There is only ONE thing that will make the Company give us what WE deserve.
It is sad that the people at the table is to damn scared to make it happen. Walking with signs and telling the public how unfair you are being treated is a waist of TIME and MONEY
Get mad like you did when they threatened to take the CS's away.

Exactly, the flying public couldn't give a rat's ass where their plane is maintained!

But when they're sitting in a sweltering broke MD80 it's a different story!!

The way I'm envisioning is this. The smaller (US AIRWAYS) is changing the way the larger (AA) does maintenance. Eventually the smaller (IAM) will force their ways unto the (TWU). Unfortunately since we were tricked into this association, there is very little we can do about. I hope I'm wrong about my way of thinking.
I hope you guys get your stuff done. I wonder if AMFA is really showing up to just to make the association look bad.In hopes of getting you to go with them, we still have our issues at SWA.If American wants AMFA you guys will still have the same issues, wish you luck !

AMFA doesn't have to show up to make the Association look bad. That happened when the NMB rubber stamped it to avoid a vote. The IAM is contributing to the demise of the Association.

I want extend my appreciation for the union brothers and sisters for the picketing you did today. I hope you sent a way up call to management. I realize the flying public is not concerned of our efforts to keep maintenance in house. Once their flights are delayed or cancelled because of inadequate maintenance from outsourcing they will!

the lack of support from the IAM speaks volumes. after this is said and done we need to deal with that.

I've seen direct results from outsourced maintenance. Whether it's phase check cards or mods they still continue to ignore the fact that it's costing us money in delays and cancellations. They treat it as a learning curve. This ain't America West or USAIR. This is a much larger and more complicated operation to run. Until they see it that way not much will change.
