Once our is voted in then Alaska will get their raises too as they have the clause to revisit every so often. It's NOT the asso. that nego the equal pay at SWA, it was AA, the co. that moved to match the equal pay at SWA for mechanics. Your right, the TWU used the AMFA nego. contract back in the 2000's and here they are again in 2019 using yet another ILC contract yet again nego by the AMFA. And once again this asso. will TRY to take the blame for all to themselves.
That was the company proposals to pay mechanic the southwest wages. But since the association is to afraid to show us there proposals. We haven’t seen what there asking but in the past they asked lower pay for a better pension that’s now frozen . Are job security and after the ink was dry the company laid off any way. I’m afraid they will sell us down the river again and sell us out for the iampf.but at least this time they can’t say that’s all the company would do for pay. Because the company released they were willing to pay the Alaska amfa contract. The fact that we have a bunch of mechanics that want sign cards either due to twu scared tactics are what ever the case may be ‘ the twu association knows that they can do anything they want. If us mechanics would stick together sign cards force a vote. I am satisfied even though I bitched and moaned thought AMFA would screw up, and I was wrong.I don’t work for your company but we at American are in our 4th year of negotiations and hope you are satisfied with your proposed contract. You guys are about to set a new standard for pay and benefits. I hope Doug Parker wakes up! and sees that us technicians keep the world moving SAFELY!!!!!!

I don’t have a overly high opinion of myself, but I do want to emulate delta and SWA mechanics, doing only A&P work and getting high pay to do it.
In your line of thinking we should all accept less so you can wing walk and ramp guys can stuff pillow cases. I would rather you turn wrenches and ramp guys handle all that they do on through trips.
