Yes indeed. Almost 20 years ago, but maybe will go 20 by time you sign.
And why not more than the SWA pay scale as the co. is calling it ILC. Now they are saying IMC, "Industry Matching Contract" that was once again nego. by the AMFA. Once our is voted in then Alaska will get their raises too as they have the clause to revisit every so often. And they still are working on the combined LAK and Virgin agreement as well.
Your right, the TWU used the AMFA nego. contract back in the 2000's and here they are again in 2019 using yet another ILC contract yet again nego by the AMFA. And once again this asso. will TRY to take the blame for all to themselves.
Oh wait a second. I may have given too much credit in the wrong direction. It's NOT the asso. that nego the equal pay at SWA, it was AA, the co. that moved to match the equal pay at SWA for mechanics. A huge difference.

That was the company proposals to pay mechanic the southwest wages. But since the association is to afraid to show us there proposals. We haven’t seen what there asking but in the past they asked lower pay for a better pension that’s now frozen . Are job security and after the ink was dry the company laid off any way. I’m afraid they will sell us down the river again and sell us out for the iampf.but at least this time they can’t say that’s all the company would do for pay. Because the company released they were willing to pay the Alaska amfa contract. The fact that we have a bunch of mechanics that want sign cards either due to twu scared tactics are what ever the case may be ‘ the twu association knows that they can do anything they want. If us mechanics would stick together sign cards force a vote. Then we the members would finally have a say and twu couldn’t treat us like crap any more.

I don’t work for your company but we at American are in our 4th year of negotiations and hope you are satisfied with your proposed contract. You guys are about to set a new standard for pay and benefits. I hope Doug Parker wakes up! and sees that us technicians keep the world moving SAFELY!!!!!!

I am satisfied even though I bitched and moaned thought AMFA would screw up, and I was wrong.
I can respect that, i thoght you were a little harsh.

Dont forget, there are some underlying medical issues that may require med's that are known to cloud ones judgement. So, relax..

Even in your example, SWA outsources a ton of A&P work (wrenching). The trend of giving up more to get a raise needs to stop!
I have always liked AMFA and its concept of all Mechanics in one union, but I'm not overly impressed with how little work the SWA AMTs actually do on their planes.

Hey weez you don’t like anyone who disagrees with you. I’m not causing trouble I do not agree with you are the iam are twu. Are the association that has 2 members that get to vote on weather we get a ta are not. I’m sure I’m not the only one on here that feels. That way I just had foot surgery and the area so big they couldn’t sew it all up I still have a big hole in my foot and where my little toe used to be. Since 14 I have had 5 major stomach surgeries and a hip repair so excuse me if I do not spell correctly punctuation correctly . You need to stop being a first class jerk.
