Same as us. Seems things are moving. But don't let that fool ya. The brick wall is coming soon. One thing I will say.....We have learned more about negotiations this past week than in the last 2 1/2 years!
Stay tuned for the union's response to the Jetnet videos.
Yes. But read the next post. The exect. cmte could very well override that decision. It’s my understanding that the Association or Executive Council have to be unanimous before it is presented for a vote. Is this correct?

Sounds like I need to call the Admiral of the boat for a fleet of F/A 18s to drop some JDAMS and take out the Watcher!1AA the red mark brigade sneak attacker
My perception of this proposal is, this is the highest contract in the industry, but since we have thousands more AMTs auto mechs and facility mechs this looks less as it is spread out over a wider group.
AA wants to offer buy out for 15 year plus mechs to bring down head count with most expensive employees and to buy their vote. Another case of guys voting yes for a contract they don’t have to work under.
The union wants everything in the contract to be the best and keep the headcount. I say buyout should come before the contract and then we get industry leading Contract and if there has to be a layoff so be it. When the mechs come back off of layoff, they will be working under the best possible working conditions.
AA should be the airline that every Student mech strives to work for. The other airline AMTs should want to work at AA because of strong benefits and pay.
My pension isn’t frozen, it was terminated. Did you not read the post you are quoting?
Already answered and explained, go read it again.
And you blew off the whole post.
AA froze the TWU represented employees pension and have to make up the shortfall in the plans for around $2 billion as its underfunded.
Who knows needs to be as high as the pilots.
It’s $2 billion underfunded. My understanding is that the AA Frozen Pension is within the law at 85% funded.
It’s $2 billion underfunded.
They are seriously misinformed.
I read it in black and white, met with the pension people.
So you take the word of two mechanics and didn’t take your own advice and do the research?
I’ve given you the path to contact them, go ahead and do it.
You listened to hearsay, I read it in person.
Do I really have to cover this again?
Amazing the fear you all have that you can’t comprehend the truth.
