The reality (Off Forums) is that even though no “many” Mechanics did not like the BS that formed the Association they do like the fact (very much) that they’re making more money than they were prior to the wage agreement. They also like the fact that they are witnessing the TWU fighting for them during these negotiations. They are of course frustrated by progress that this is not finished yet but in the ORD Maintenance Roadshow all that frustration was directed at Robert Isom and the Company not the TWU.

“Only time will tell”? Stop it now with the new ridiculousness driver. The group you now seem to like again (5 years) has nothing it can sell and the Majority (By far) at AA are well aware of it.

If these posters here were honest with you they would tell you that there is both no card drive and no drive by any other Union to have one either.

If they choose another union, I don't see why you would care. You would still have your union. Our situation at SWA , we could had our raise if we sold our language. The company finally needs something, just like when they needed the pilots. Will everyone be happy no, that is the nature of the beast. No one here is going to allow a Northwest situation, we make to much, plus they don't want to get rid of half the mechanics.

If they choose another union, I don't see why you would care. You would still have your union. Our situation at SWA , we could had our raise if we sold our language. The company finally needs something, just like when they needed the pilots. Will everyone be happy no, that is the nature of the beast. No one here is going to allow a Northwest situation, we make to much, plus they don't want to get rid of half the mechanics.

I think I finally figured it out, the only reason you don't want maintenance to leave, you guys would lose you biggest bargaining chip, for getting a bigger raise, peace !

How many times is this going to be told?

We had three rounds of concessions in two bankruptcies, 2002, 2003 and 2005.

46% of my Maintenance coworkers lost their jobs and our pension was terminated.

We got a JCBA in 2008 and a Section 6 CBA in 2014, which our Negotiations were put on hold while Parker wooed you.

So it’s our fault we’ve had two contracts since our bankruptcies and you haven’t since your chapter 11 just occurred in 2012.

Give me some of that TWO BILLION AA has to put in your frozen pension and some of your equity too.

The only IGM is you and others who blame us for your bankruptcy contract.

But it’s easier for you to blame us then to look at what really transpired.

Why don’t you blame your leadership for your lack of equality and not us.

Two can play your blame game.
